Only reason for 4 stars was due to some of the steep roads to get to the house. Bedrooms were very bright during the night with the street lights and during the morning. We loved the house and it was so charming!

We were in town for a funeral and found this house on vrbo. It worked out perfectly with plenty of space and the location was beautiful and convenient. Beds were comfortable and quiet. We will stay there again!

This house was a great homebase for our group. Good location, comfortable stay, nice communal spaces, small playground nearby for toddlers, a beautiful front porch, and nice screened in patio as well. Hot tub a nice added benefit. Would stay there again!

We enjoyed our stay at this well-kept clean attractive historic house with ample modern conveniences. There was plenty of room for the seven guests, including four bedrooms, chatting on the side porch, some watching the Olympics on TV and a great ample dining room table. Nice home to stay at.

Our family stayed at this house when we came to Dubuque to watch my grandson bowl for Clarke University. Close to CU, lanes, and eating and entertainment. Group of all ages stayed for weekend. We will be back.

Highland Place

Very fun historic house! We could get my 93 year old Mom's wheelchair inside. There was plenty of room for brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins to get together and visit.
