Staff was very kind and allowed me to freeze my cooler freeze packs in the kitchen freezer. Breakfast was always plentiful with good selections. One feature I miss from years ago was the evening snack and beverage in the lake view lobby. Other than that, no complaints about our stay.

The location is convenient for being able to walk around both canal park and to access downtown and the Fitger's complex. The outdoor seating area was clean and ample with great views. All staff that we came across, including housekeeping, was super pleasant and greeted us every time we saw them.

Arrived a couple hours early to town, stopped in to see if we could leave our vehicle in the parking lot. Front desk was very gracious and stated it was fine, but that we could also check in early if we wanted. Hotel clean, loved the big bathtub in the room, breakfast Was very good. Most importantly, it’s right on Canal Park and able to walk and enjoy a beautiful view of Lake superior. Enjoyed the large patios outside and the fire pit outside as well. Honestly, nothing to complain about it all regarding this hotel.

Clean and well-kept, friendly staff, and fantastic amenities. You cannot beat the location right by the water and walking distance to great restaurants and the lift bridge.
