Staff couldn’t care less that there were roadworks with jackhammers, excavators, road concrete cutting machines literally outside our window working from 8pm to 7am. Zero sleep and no comms. I know they are not responsible for road works but they must have known they were due and didn’t advise or make any offer of other rooms.

When we checked in, the other room is not yet available. Initially we requested a room side by side or near each other. Since there was no available, I asked if there is any room anywhere in the hotel that is available, receptionist said there is no available yet. What is the point of booking rooms if at time of check in the room was not available. We had to talk to the manager and thankfully she gave us a room.

When I arrived late on Friday afternoon by myself I was running late for an appointment and dropped my bags and left When I got back late Friday night I just went to sleep after a long day traveling, when I awoke on Saturday and actually saw the condition of the sheets I was concerned I checked the sheets on the opposite side of the bed from where I slept and it was also soiled with his knows what, really disappointing. I showed a video to the manager Theo who was very nice and helpful he sent the house cleaners to change the sheets, but they did not change the pillow cases which were also soiled they left me 4 pillow cases and I asked was I supposed to change get them myself, of which I am More than capable but that’s not my job, when I asked them to do it I got attitude from the senior housekeeper who’s job it was to supervise and if she had done so in the beginning there would have been no issue Again great location. Nice hotel great front desk staff

I was offered a valet carpark on the night of our stay, which i accepted because there carpark was full,so they offered to park my car in either the Casino carpark or the Speights carpark. When they went to collect my car they could not find it. Eventually they found it which took in excess of 30 minutes. Some staff are apparently unaware they have a car park availability in the Speights carpark. All staff should be aware what is available!!!

Stayed at the hotel for one night, so the room did what it needed. When you enter the hotel you get the feeling you’re in a nice hotel. Once you enter your room you realize that it hasn’t been renovated for many years. Bathroom wasn’t very clean and a few towels had stains on them. Bed sheets also had a few stains on them but you can tell they were washed. Beds were comfortable. Carpet is old and dirty so we didn’t take our shoes off.

We stayed here for a week in February in a superior double room. The room was ok, but I'm not sure what was superior about it. The bathroom was nothing like the photo, much smaller, and the wash hand basin was quiet small and set back in an alcove. The top and bottom ledges of the wood panelling around the walls of the bedroom hadn't been dusted for quite a while. There was a mirror on the bedroom wall which was hung horizontally rather than vertically and was of no use whatsoever as it was too high to be able see yourself in. We returned to the hotel one afternoon to find that the cups we had used in the morning had not been washed, the tea/coffee making items had not been replenished, and the bins had not been emptied. The bed had been made, although not very well and my husbands pyjamas were nowhere to been found. We eventually found them actually half way down the bed, under the bedcovers. I would not be inclined to stay here again.
