Enjoy a retreat to the Perthshire countryside with this beautiful holiday accommodation for up to seven guests. Here, families and friends can explore the historic village of Dunkeld (2.5 miles), known for its Cathedral, its 18th century ‘little houses’, and the range of boutique local businesses located along Atholl Street. For Shakespearean experience stroll along the river to the great Birnam Oak – remains of the wood that felled Macbeth. To the North, you will find the Victorian-era town of Pitlochry (15 miles), known as the gateway to the Highlands, and a variety of attractions, such as Blair Athol Distillery, Blair Castle and Gardens, and the Queen’s View over Loch Tummel. To the South, the vibrant city of Perth (14 miles) features a wealth of restaurants and coffee shops, as well as historic landmarks and attractions like Perth Museum, Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park, and Perth Concert Hall.
Entering the property itself, you will find the snug on your left – a cozy room sporting hand-crafted wooden bookshelves and leather sofas, ideal for relaxing with a book or playing board games with friends and family. The spacious open-plan living/kitchen/dining area represents the heart of the house. Here, you can unwind after a day of exploring Perthshire, either in one of two seating areas – one by the Smart TV and one by the wide patio doors which fill the room with natural light and provide a stunning view of Birnam Hill nearby, or at the dining table, the perfect place to feast and commune. The kitchen, situated behind the TV area, and like the snug and most wood features in the property fashioned from high-quality hand-crafted wood, allowing you to prepare a feast and chat with others at the same time. On the ground floor you will also find a beautiful king-sized bedroom and a convenient luxurious bathroom with a bath and wet room-style shower. At the back of the house, you will find a utility room and a smaller bathroom. Two more luxurious bedrooms can be found upstairs. The super king-sized master bedroom with a balcony and views over the Birnam Hill, and a pleasant triple room, both with en-suite shower rooms. All three bedrooms have zip-and-link beds to offer flexible accommodation for guests (on request).
Heading outside, the spacious patio area makes a fantastic spot for dining alfresco, with a large outdoor dining table and a BBQ, as well as a hot tub for you to relax in. The garden spans nearly an acre, and at the back you will find another patio area with a large dining table and a child and adult friendly green space with no shortage of games and game equipment, including a table tennis table, basketball net, and a swing. Parking is available for up to three cars in the driveway.
