Our 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath townhome (Unit 13) is located in the Sitzmark Building at Purgatory Resort and offers convenience in all seasons. This is a slope side retreat right at the base of one of Purgatory’s favorite runs, Lower Hades (just walk up to the Lower Hades run from the townhome). Ski down to the high-speed six pack in the morning, and ski right back to the Sitzmark complex in the afternoon. In spring, summer and fall, mountain biking and hiking trails are just the other side of the front door.

The townhome offers plenty of space for multiple families and features an open floor plan. There are tons of games/puzzles for your enjoyment and the condo also features parking for 2 vehicles at the unit, fully stocked kitchen (including an Insta-pot), washer and dryer, WIFI and a gas grill..

2nd - King (Second floor)
3rd - Queen (Second floor)
4th - Bunks Beds (2) - Single over Single (Ground floor)

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay).

The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. For an additional (and optional) 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. When booking, just advise if you would like us to add the additional 4% resort fee.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

The boot warmers were crucial. Although you can ski into the cabin, we ended up driving to the base every morning as it’s easier with all of the things and small kids. Definitely add in the access to the Durango mountain club if you have kids. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and letting them play in the pool every evening. Firewood is provided, but pick up some kindling or starter sticks in town id you want a fire in the evening. Bring your own EVOO, pepper, spices, etc. they have a kettle for coffee and tea. They provide trash bags, laundry pods, paper towels, tp, dishwasher detergent, dish soap, hand soap and a small amount of shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.

Great spot for snowplay

We had a great time staying here. At the back of the house is a deck with a grill and seating and a large area for kids to have snowball fights, build a snowman, and go sledding. Plus you can ski in ski out, what could be better! The house itself has plenty of space for two families. The bathrooms were a little tight but we made it work. It has everything you need for a week vacation. Tip - have your groceries delivered through Instacart and save yourself so much time! The property management company was very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this place if you're planning to visit Purgatory in the winter. It's probably great in the summer too. Just know that there's not a lot of amenities at Purgatory, you have to drive to Durango for shops, groceries, and restaurants.

Great morning view

This is the second time staying here, my 4th year in Durango and it has been a great time each year. The rooms are on different levels which makes it easier with my teens. There are tons of utensils, cups and pots/pans. I love all the space the loft has. We had a grill for steaks with the family. Thank you for being a great host for my family & I.

This ski-in, ski-out condo offers ultimate convenience with direct slope access. Cozy and well-equipped, it's the perfect spot to relax after a day on the mountain. Amazing view of Engineer Mountain

We had an amazing time at Purgatory once again! The living room area had upgraded sofas that were not shown on the original photos so that was a nice surprise. The master suite had a bidet. The townhouse is a great ski in/ski out location. Each bathroom had a small care package which we loved. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. VRC was very responsive the entire time.

The property was exactly as described. It was a little difficult to get to the trail to ski out. You could Ski in just a bit easier. Overall, it was great place to stay!

Spacious condo, great views

The condo was very large and we had plenty of room for 6 adults to relax after a day of on the slopes. Communication with the property manager was easy and quick. Our only advice to the property manager would be to consider replacing the dishwasher in the unit with a better one and maybe giving all the dishes a deep clean.

Overall great experience

We had a great time. The house was fabulous. I would only recommend letting your potential clients know that if they want to do any activities at Purgatory they need to reserve early. We got there and could not rent ski equipment or rent snow mobiles. We basically could not do any activities at the resort because everything was booked. Also your potential clients need to know that it’s impossible to drive to the house in a car that is not 4 wheel drive. Even then those vehicles had an extremely difficult time making it to the room. My mother is handicap and we could not make it up to our house. She had to walk far and up a hill to get her there. We had to buy chains for our tires to make it around purgatory. It was very beautiful and the home we stayed at was amazing. Just wish we had other basic information before arriving. This was our first time doing a trip to Colorado.

Great place for dogs but 3 flights of stairs

We rented this property because we have dogs. It was great to have the back running area for them in the snow. But at 60, three flights of stairs was too much. The property is clean and has a great view.

A very nice place to stay with great views.

We enjoyed our stay, however we had a problem with the refrigerator not working. We had made our food in advance and the ice we brought melted in the freezer over night. I contacted the property management and they brought 2 ice chests with 6 bags of ice. This was good for one day but it all melted quickly. I advised management we would be leaving a day early because of the food situation and not enough ice left to keep the food cold. They were very responsive and issued us a credit for the inconvenience. This is a great place to stay and I'm sure it would have been an even better experience with a working refrigerator, however they came through with compensation for our loss of food and the inconvenience. Much appreciated!
