With the Animas River—El Río de las Animas (River of Souls)—running through and just steps away from San Juan National Forest, this is the ideal getaway for outdoor aficionados with gold medal fly fishing waters, whitewater rafting, kayaking and canoeing. Durango is also popular for outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, road biking, backpacking, slacklining, rock climbing, hunting, off-roading, year-round fishing, and golfing. The resort assigns the specific unit around the time of check-in so your view may vary. Let us know if you have a preference to be near a specific location throughout the resort or if you would like a specific view. 1. Nearby construction across the street will continue through September 2025, causing lane closures and daytime noise from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; expect dust, odors, and work crews—contact the resort with questions.



2. From January 12 to April 30, 2026, the resort will undergo elevator modernization (elevator unavailable; stair access required), a Wi-Fi upgrade (intermittent service possible), and roof replacement (occasional noise and restricted area access)—dates are subject to change.
