Our room was not cleaned after our first night. When I brought this up at the desk I was told I should have notified them that I wanted it cleaned. I was told that I should’ve been asked at check in and I was not. I asked to get the room cleaned and was told that the staff was gone for the day but she could give me sheets and a garbage bag so I could change my own sheets and throw my own trash. I told her that was unacceptable and asked her to move to a clean room. She said that since we booked on Expedia I could only be moved to an outside accessible room and she had one facing the exterior of the hotel. It was 9 degrees and we were hoping to use the pool without turning into an icicle. There was very little customer service in the transaction. We will not return despite having stayed there on several prior occasions.

The guy who checked us in was weird and rude. We were trying to purchase laundry detergent from him and as we walked up to pay, he grabbed it and then a woman walked in. He told us he was going to check her in first, handed us back the laundry detergent and said for us to go about our business. What does that even mean? I’m trying to wash my clothes and can’t until I purchase soap. Accessing our room was strange because we had to go inside the building and then exit it again to get to it. The pool closes at 9pm which is the earliest I’ve ever seen. We had to race from the restaurant back to the hotel to use it. Pool was very nice though! The room was good. Had good quality shampoo and conditioner. Small bathroom but did the job. The location was great as we needed somewhere close to the train.
