Condescending attitude of the person who identified herself as the proprietor. She is the ansolute reason I would discourage anyone from giving business to this hotel.. she didn't exhibit a desire to act as good jostess to the patrons. I did not witness a friendly interaction with any other patron as well. She spoke decently to staff. but spoke authoritative without giving dyaff autonomy. On other words, politely bossy. The two male check-in clerks were friendly and engaging in pleasant conversation. business

seal on room door is so loose/falling apart that the door lock doesn’t always engage(safety issue). This also allows a heavy draft of cold air and noise from street to be in the room at all times

The room was ok, the floor was cracked in the bathroom and there wasn't much ventilation. Wouldn't recommend for someone sensitive to mold, but otherwise it was fine. We booked a pet-friendly room, but was put in a non-pet room, then found out after the fact there's a pet-fee wasn't apparent on the original booking.

The room was perfectly adequate. The manager was very knowledgeable of things around Durango and made our trips out into the historic town and surrounding areas interesting. The laundry lady was also a very pleasant and helpful person.
