The worst hotel that I’ve ever stayed in! The first room I was given was small, dirty and unkempt, the mattress was non existent and smaller than the bed frame, it looked like it was recovered from the local tip. We couldn’t lock the door so we contacted customer support that let us wait 1h in the room, they didn’t arrive so I called them again and asked to be moved to another room. Room 2 was as horrible and dirty as the first one. There was no holder for the toilet brush which was left propped against the toilet bowl, water was leaking out of the shower as the drain was blocked and overflowing onto the floor. the sink was blocked. The blinds were broken when we tried to open the windows. I wouldn’t even imagine that the local homeless people would like to live in it. I felt more like I was in a drugs den than a hotel. I paid 63 pounds per night to stay there, I will be asking for a refund because the state of the room was deplorable!

Two rooms we did, in one of them no heater, no ensuite toilet. We had to sleep with our jumpers. Someone s hair in the bathroom and around. Positive think is location, but car parking is a headache.

Would have been great if not for mattress.

Pros: Clean, pleasant room. Friendly staff.
Cons: The mattress!!!
Location: Good place to explore Brighton from.
On arrival I was actually put in the New Steine, the sister hotel to Gullivers - which is next door. My room had obviously been recently refurbished along with the bathroom and both were clean and tidy. The staff were very pleasant and helpful although something was occasionally lost in translation. Breakfast and evening meals I took in the dining room and they were also good. You do need to be able to climb quite steep stairs to get to most of the rooms. For the very reasonable amount I paid for the room I would have given it 5 stars if not for the mattress - possibly the most uncomfortable, lumpy one I have ever tried to sleep on.

Thank you for your review and I am sorry if you found the mattress uncomfortable. We do rotate all mattresses regularly and replace those that are required. Did you speak with anyone during your stay as we may have been able to do something to assist. Overall though I am glad you enjoyed all the other elements and hope you will choose us again soon.

good value for money

Pros: Facilities & Location to Pier and beach a good central place to stay
Cons: Overall their was nothing really to dislike it was generally very good in all areas

Central location

Very comfortable,but room in need of facelift.Felt old and musty though staff and comfort very good
