Stockbridge is a highly sought-after residential hub, home to many affluent young professionals. The area features numerous local shops, such as delis, artisan cheese, wine and sherry boutiques, thrift stores, cozy cafes, stylish gastropubs, and upscale dining. On a bright day, walk to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Inverleith Park, or along the Water of Leith. Don't miss the Stockbridge Farmers Market on Sundays to grab lunch from one of the many local vendors.



Getting Around:

To and from the airport: Regular buses and trams run to and from the airport. The best stop is Princes Street, where you can catch a bus (24, 29, or 42) to Stockbridge—just be sure to locate the correct stop among several on Princes Street. Taxis and private hires are also available from the airport.



To and from Waverley Station: The 29 bus stops near Waverley Station and at Stockbridge (Kerr Street). See below for ticket info.



Between Stockbridge and City Centre: The 24, 29, and 42 buses connect Stockbridge (Kerr Street) and the City Centre. Conversely, the 42 bus heads to Craigleith Retail Centre. Adult fares are £1.70 for a single trip or £4.00 for a day pass.
