The location was very walkable to amenities which was the main selling point. The room we had in the basement was very dated, rather noisy, and looked nothing like the room photos shown. If this is a bed and breakfast the breakfast part was not evident.

We found the place easily. Parking was fine. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was small but fine for a night. The bed though was made with an old, dainty iron frame. It creaked a lot at the slight movement. Public transportation is nearby. We even walked back from downtown Edinburgh.

The guest house is just over a mile from the city centre and I guess you get what you pay for, so on that basis you’re really can’t complain. However, some of the shared facilities could’ve been cleaner and I guess the place hasn’t been decorated this century if you want a cheap place not far from the city centre this is okay but don’t expect anything special. The one good saving grace of this place is that is just around the corner from the Causeway whether there are great pubs and it’s a lot less touristy than right in the city centre.

it was perfect for a family, conveniently located 15min away from the centre by bus or 35min by walk, small fridge in the bedroom and en suite bathroom, a couple of small supermarkets 10min walking from the premises. Also for the price £60/night is a 5*.

Host was very helpful with tips for Edinburgh. He accommodated our late arrival. Parking available in back off street. Near bus transport to the Royal Mile. Older building. Clean room. Shared bath. We did not have any towels. Quite a few stairs to the room.

It didn't look anything like the pictures. The room was not clean, there was rubbish under the bed and the kettle was not usable. The bus stop was two minutes away and it was also walkable from the center, so location is good, and also the lady checking us in was nice. However, the cleanliness would make me not want to stay again.
