Layout
Set over three floors, this townhouse retains its original character while offering comfortable living spaces. The first floor features a spacious lounge and a well-equipped kitchen, perfect for home-cooked meals or relaxed evenings. Two inviting bedrooms provide a peaceful retreat, with one offering a small seating area and direct access to the garden. The second-floor bathroom, in keeping with the home’s historic charm, has an open-plan layout with a heavy curtain at the top of the stairs instead of a door. Guests should note that, while some parts of the 400-year-old property may feel naturally cool, this only adds to its authenticity.
Home Truths:
Private Yet Connected: While the townhouse is part of our residence, it is completely separate, ensuring your privacy. Separated by locked fire doors, you'll have no interaction with us unless there's an emergency. Enjoy your own private entrance and contactless access for a seamless experience. The private garden is exclusively yours to relax and unwind.
Historic Charm: As a property over four centuries old, expect unique quirks that add to its character. The townhouse's distinctive features are sure to enhance your stay in this historic Scottish setting.
Layout Considerations: The townhouse's quirky layout includes a bathroom without a door, which may not suit all guests. Additionally, with multiple stairs throughout, the property is not suitable for young children.
Community Respect: We kindly ask guests to be mindful that the rooms are part of our house and that our neighbours live in close proximity. Embracing the local community's tranquillity ensures a pleasant stay for all.
