Lovely room, nice n clean, happy staff (yassou Olympia!) Nice view if you're at the front of the hotel. Great for the zoo, i expect the busses would be fine from Corstorphine rd if you googled the timetables. Not wonderfully cheap, but for a good room quite ok (this is edinburgh after all!). The wee guesthouse room i booked previously was only £15 less

location is not good,no eating out area,you have travel 3 miles to town for eating!

Holiday inn near zoo

Pros: Great location and main area were really comfortable. Good leisure facilities and welcoming of children
Cons: Refurbishing fifth floor rooms. Adequate waiting staff capacity.
Location: Next door to the zoo and great bus links to the city centre.
This was a great hotel for location. The main area were comfortable and modern. This has a great pool and leisure facilities. The room itself was in need of redecoration it was just a bit tired, the room we stayed in is nothing like the photos on the website so that was a little dissapointing. There was a complete lack of available waiting staff so ordering food and drinks in the bar and lounge was very difficult we had to wait almost an hour for desserts.

Hotel Holiday Inn is a big hotel building but more or less worn out. Pool area has some restictions I would have wanted to know before booking (sauna and jacuzzi is for adults only etc). Breakfast is good and there are plenty of choises. Local bus traffic is brilliant and cheap for tourists also.
