Warm, friendly hotel with a great welcome

Stayed here to be near Arthur's Seat and within walking distance of Pollock Halls. A really warm welcome from the owners and excellent value for money.

Bus service made it convenient

Good. Excellent concert and hotel. Hotel was a bit of a walk from town but convenient for buses and plenty of places to visit on the way The owners of the hotel were very friendly and the food was excellent.

Close enough to city centre

Pros: Staff were very helpful, hotel was clean and tidy, in a great location and only a 15 minute walk into the city centre
Location: Located about 20 minutes walk from the city centre, or if you wanted there were multiple buses routes nearby that ran into the centre.
Hotel is ideally situated just outside the city centre, we walked into the centre which only took about 15 minutes but there are a number a of bus routes which could have been used. Parking was free on the street just outside the hotel. We arrived about an hour before the check-in time but the staff were very helpful and let us check in straight away. Rooms were clean and tidy and well equipped.

The BEST

Everything in this hotel is top rated. You had everything in the room that was needed. The breakfast was top class, choices like I never got before. Thomas was always there to help in any way.

Great Hotel & Stay

We stayed for 2 nights recently and thought the hotel was fantastic. The room was very large and had a lovely modern bathroom with new shower and heated towel rail. The staff were very friendly and the best thing about our stay was the breakfast, they have a great menu to choose from and the british cooked breakfast was very nice! Only slight negative was that temperature in the room was too warm at times but actually when you have been out in the cold all day, its nice to come back to a warm room! Location is also very good, only a 10 min bus journey into city centre. Overall very pleased and would certainly stay here again if we return to Edinburgh!

Great hotel but noisy room

This is a lovely hotel, with a good sized bedroom and bathroom which was really comfortable. The only problem was that the room was right by the entrance door, and the noise from people entering and exiting the hotel, as well as from conversations and the tv in the reception was very annoying Breakfast was very good - I can recommend the kipper (order the day before)

Loving hosts

We were received very warmly by Kevin. He is a great host. Cares very lovingly for its guests. The rooms are nicely decorated. Large selection of breakfast. I can really recommend the "Egg Florentine". Great information service about restaurants in the near and how to use the buses to drive to city center of Edinburgh.

Nice hotel near city center

Pros: everything
Cons: Nothing!
Location: near bus stop. 20 minutes to city center
The room is so comfortable, the staff is taking care of all details I recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Edingurgh!

Prima hotel voor een stedentrip

Het hotel voldeed aan ons verwachtingen. het ligt op een half uurtje lopen van het centrum in een rustige buurt en is prima bereikbaar met het openbaar vervoer.

Too far out, bed for two extremely narrow and very short. Matrass old and you could feel every spring.
