Would not ever stay again

I am a 67 year old female. My spouse was in hospital. Because I’m from Sherwood Park, I was charged a deposit of 500.00!!! I was apparently high risk of damaging the property because of where I reside. Absolutely ridiculous! If my credit card had declined additional deposit, I would have been denied a room. I was up from 3:00 am and exhausted by the time I got to the hotel. People need to not use the rule books and look at who their guest is. Absolutely mortified with their behaviour.

I stayed here for a work conference Hotel was fine for what I needed it for There was a transient person hanging around the parking lot which was concerning The hotel card didn’t work the second night so I had to go back into the hotel twice- was an inconvenience, since I was in the other building ( room 236) The mini fridge had a bit of a clunking sound throughout the night- I would stay again and have stayed here many times in the last 20 yrs- close to mall & other amenities.

overall great!

highlights are definitely service and location. from the initial contact to check out - the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. the location is EXCEPTIONAL; it’s within a 10-15 minute drive of multiple event venues (roger’s place, expo centre, etc), nightlife and other attractions. across the street is a mall that has nearly any store you could possibly need, including a walmart and liquor store. the hotel also features a pool with a hot-tub & slide, as well as an a 24/7 store and an on-site restaurant that provides room service. the only downside is that the rooms themselves are slightly outdated, the carpets could have been cleaner and things are very spaced out - making trips to the lobby or ice machine a bit long and tedious. that being said; it is to be expected with the price point and did not have a significant impact on the quality of enjoyment. i would recommend this hotel for a reasonably priced, comfortable stay.

So-so. More for sustainability.

The hotel was adequate. The room was quiet enough. But the heating system was poor. All the cups throw away and wrapped in plastic. Throw away mini shampoo and so on. More needs to be done for sustainablity. And the decor is dated. Beds were very comfy.
