Best value in Mattoon

The staff is really nice. Helpful and accommodating. The morning food service is a nourishing hot breakfast self service, better than most in the area. But it's off the beat'n track at the end of the frontage road. Steak'nShake is next door, plenty of other new franchise eats across Hwy 16 (one light) like Cracker Barrel, Chic-fil-A, McDonalds, Freddy's. Visit annually for over 10 years, prefer the extra space like rm. 231, less noise from ice machine on 3rd floor same room but right above the breakfast and side door stairs, highly convenient and comforable.

The hotel staff was great (friendly, helpful, patient), the rooms (I stayed here twice on a round trip) were immaculate and the hotel is convenient to the highway, a Steak-n-Shake (next door) and an Aldi (across the street). I highly recommend this Comfort Inn!

The room was very clean and very well lit. I loved all the mirrors and beautiful wood doors. The sink was in the room and not in the bathroom for privacy. I do believe this room was designed by a woman. I loved it
