Hotel is in very cozy, staff is very friendly and helpful. It's close to the town, a only 5 minute walking from restaurants and grocery store. Breakfast was delicious and with a great variety of choices.

Hotel Picos del Sur offers a fairly convenient location, just a 10-minute walk from the main street of El Calafate. The rooms are clean, though the amenities are somewhat below average, and the bed is decent for a comfortable night’s rest. Breakfast is an average continental selection, enough to start the day. There’s a small sit-up bar and a restaurant on-site, though the menu is quite limited. Check-out is at 10 a.m. The property also features a nice patio area with a great view over the grounds. Staff are friendly, and overall the hotel offers pretty good value for the price.

Very friendly staff and well located

The staff were consistently great. The hotel is a short walk from the center of town and it seems that it’s on the route for the major tours to perform their pick ups.

This property was very clean and had friendly staff. The bed was comfortable. It was walking distance from restaurants and shops. Only negative, the heat in the hallway so hot it made our room hot. We slept with an open window each night.

Terrible stay

The service was terrible. It took us more than 30 minutes to check-in due to inefficient system and personnel. The check out time was 10am and when we requested for 11am check out they said it was not possible and the way they replied to our request was terrible. Also, please don't try their happy hour menu. That was the worst burger that I ever had.
