Beautiful home needed additional cleaning
Our family (5 sisters) went on an intensive retreat with a coach at this house. It is a beautiful home. The owners were first time VRBO and offered a beautiful space for our healing. Due to their inexperience, they left the refrigerator full and dirty. It was the maid that ultimately did not complete the clean. Once we cleaned it out we were able to move 2+ days of food into the garage refrigerator and manage our meals and groceries well. The house shined more and more each day we stayed there. We started noticing all these beautiful touches. It just took time to get over the initial shock. One thing I had wanted was to see photos of the bedrooms on the VRBO listing. Adding this would help future renters. That would have helped us as well. One bed needed repair. We managed around it and realized we had to adjust our expectation and move forward. The yard and garden was so breathtaking beautiful, the enclosed patio was divine space. Family room was well organized and we had most of our sessions in that room. Kitchen was well equipped. Pans were disorganized but we eventually found the essentials. I would recommend removing personal items - clothing, jewelry etc for future renters. Most people like to use empty drawers. The master bedroom was perfect. Lots of space. We felt like we were invading someone’s permanent home when personal stuff was around. We all felt the home was beautiful. Thank you again.
