The staff was friendly and helpful and the garden/courtyard was nice. The balcony had a lovely view, and the room had reasonable amenities such as a mini fridge. However, the construction of the room could have been better. The curtains didn't actually cover all the windows, so from some angles a person outside could potentually see in. More importantly, the bath fan/window wasn't well fitted and had some gaps. They had mosquito netting over the bed, but it would have been better to fill those gaps in case of insects.

A Pleasant Stay

I had booked this hotel for three nights from 10th to 13th Feb 2020. The hotel is in the heart of Ella town, very conveniently located close to public transport and dining/ shopping options. The room allotted to me was recently painted and smelly with bathroom faucets broken/leaking. On approaching the owner of the property she very graciously offered to shift us to Hotel Sun Breeze which is close by and belonged to the same owner. This hotel was much better with a nice hillside view and good service. The staff was courteous and responsive. The breakfast was nice and sumptuous with lot of choice. Overall a pleasant experience.

Wasted potential in great location

There are a lot of positives about this inn - spacious room, good breakfast, great location, and good price. Beds all had mosquito nets and the garden was ready peaceful. Unfortunately we only stayed.one night because.of two negatives : unreliable wifi and no fan in the room (even having screens would have let cool air in from outside). And btw, the blackout curtains do not cover the big glass door, so have a clip ready or wake up at sunrise.

We were planning on staying here for one night but extended our time here. The staff is of the most attentive, informative and friendliest. The location is perfect in the heart of everything. The breakfast was delicious and the view of Ella Rock from our room was wonderful. Having truly hot showers and WiFi that works was a huge plus as both are spotty in Sri Lanka. I definitely recommend this place.
