You have to look past the fact that the rooms are above Beer & Burger restaurant and requires the ability to take 1 flight of stairs. We had room #3 which was amazing! It was actually like having two spacious rooms. We enjoyed the ambience of the fireplace. It was a very comfortable stay. We also enjoyed the restaurant below.

This is a nice place to stay! Highly recommend it! A minor, minor issue was the soft mattress. Like a more firm one! Other than that, great location and room!

Great location! We loved how close everything was - plenty of restaurants, a supermarket, and a nice park all within easy walking distance. Free parking right behind the hotel on weekends was a bonus. Watkins Glen State Park is only about a half-hour drive away, too. The room itself was very clean, which we really appreciated.

Loved this place! That said, the "entry" is through the back of the building parking lot, up what appears to be an old fire escape, passing by the restaurant vent fan, on the way up to the second floor. All i kept thinking was, Im in deep trouble now (wife cursing and swearing under her breath). The unmarked door opens to a civilized hallway and closes securely behind you. The room, which is more like a suite, is wonderful! It has a separate bedroom and living room, with a fireplace. The view of Gaffer St. street below is excellent! Very cool art on the walls. Thank goodness the room was as nice as it was, because that entry looked a little sketchy. For the type of old building this is, having a "hotel" above the restaurant, the entry makes complete sense. While the building wasnt designed for this, its a great suite at a great price.

Nice studio room

This property was a nice, clean, comfortable place to stay. It had a lot of room to spread out and almost seemed like a studio apartment rather than a hotel room. It was on top of a restaurant called Burgers and Beer. I didn’t feel the same sense of cleanliness there, but the food was good. Next time, I would skip the restaurant.
