Beautiful Leucadia Townhome with Amazing 180 degree Ocean View, parking, laundry, beach accessories, surfboards, and Steps to Beacon's Beach Access.

We are pet friendly with pre approval and a pet fee of $150 per pet

A perfect relaxing beach retreat with an AMAZING Ocean View. The oceanfront town home has 2 very large bedrooms, 2 baths and is just across Neptune from the Bluff and stairs to Beacon's beach. The upstairs town home is perfect for families or a group of friends. The oceanfront home, has just been completely remodeled inside and out and has an updated look along with the character for which Encinitas is famous.

Beach trail across the street is open!

Included are 2 private parking spots, 2 soft surfboards, boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach toys. Just arrive and you are ready for a wonderful day at the Beacon's beach. The bedrooms are well acquainted with king beds and matching bedroom sets. For larger groups, we have a convertible futon, with a sheet and comforter set. The entire home is very nicely furnished and well outfitted.

We are available to guests 24/7 for emergencies and 8am to 8pm for issues with amenities.

The area is the quintessential 1960's beach town, with modern splashes of luxury and tons of eclectic soul. The home is just 50 feet from the stunning cliffs the boast views of the entire coastline, and the stairs that lead down to world class, Beacons Beach. The home is also just blocks away from several great places to eat or have a drink.

It is a short walk to Coast Hwy where you will find unique boutiques, mouth watering Mexican food, local coffee houses, antique stores, a new and used record store, and so much more! Stroll down a little further on the weekends and stop by the Seaside Bazaar, North County's only open-air market. At night, enjoy home cooking in your oceanfront rental, or check out one of the local neighborhood restaurants such as Calypso cafe, a small place serving up great food with local bands playing every night. Or maybe you would enjoy Bar Leucadian, a neighborhood bar that has been there since 1946, and has live music, pool tables, and no cover charge!

Historic Coast Highway also just blocks away, is home to trendy restaurants, chic boutiques and art studios - great for walking around in the sunshine. The Old Coast Highway continues south through Old Encinitas, through the heart of our lost-in-time 'old downtown' - right past Swami's Beach. Legoland is only a 10 min drive (about 6 miles) and we are about a 30 min drive to Sea World and the San Diego International Airport. The San Diego Botanical Gardens are 2.5 miles away and is a very beautiful place to visit.
Beacon's is still a 'surfer's heaven' where you can watch the greatest surfers in the world practice their skills every day.

We are just a 6 min drive to legoland and about a 30 min drive to Sea World and Lindberg Field.

This property is amazing. The 180 Degree view of the Ocean as well as the wonderful sunsets make this property very special. We are just across the street from Beacon's Beach Access. As such we are within ear shot of the Amtrak train. It doesn't bother most guests but we are installing sound proof windows for our Very light sleepers. Most of our guests say that a fan is enough not to hear the train.
NOTE: We have a pet fee of $100 per pet up to two


1. Smoking is allowed outside the unit only.

2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest.

3. All of the units are privately owned; the OWNERS are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The OWNERS are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

4. NO PARTIES. Outside Quiet hours are between 9 pm and 8 am. This is a residential neighborhood, so please respect the privacy of your neighbors. Neighbors are very sensitive to noise and will notify property owner immediately of any disturbances.
5. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order

6. Only use furniture/appliances for their intended uses.

7. Pets are permitted only with prior approval and the Pet Addendum must be completed and the $100 pet fee paid.

8. Parking is limited to 2 vehicle(s). Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on the road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.

9. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units.

10. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order. Only use appliances, furniture, and electronics for their intended uses. Appliances and Electronics are not guaranteed; Repairs will be made as soon as possible. No refund due to failure. Refunds made if due to act of god (e.g. fire, mandatory evacuation, etc.)

11. Beach Equipment: Recreational beach toys/equipment is provider by OWNER. GUEST assumes all responsibility of provided equipment. Misuse of this equipment will result in removal from the premise at the OWNER’S discretion. Please clean all sand and debris off beach equipment prior to returning to the premise.

12. Abusive/Offensive language will not be tolerated. OWNER can dismiss GUEST at any time due to Abusive/Offensive language towards guests, neighbors, agents of the owner, as well as the owner.

13. GUEST shall not perpetrate, allow or suffer any acts or omissions contrary to law or ordinance to be carried on upon the leased premises or in any common area. Upon obtaining actual knowledge of any illegal acts or omissions upon the leased premises, GUEST agrees to immediately inform OWNER and the appropriate authorities. GUEST shall bear responsibility for any and all illegal acts or omissions upon the leased premises and shall be considered in breach of this AGREEMENT upon conviction of GUEST or any of GUEST’S family or invitees, licensees, and/or guests for any illegal act or omission upon the leased premises- whether known or unknown to GUEST.

14. Laundry machines are provided for your convenience. Laundry hours are from 8:00am-9:00pm daily. Please keep laundry room/area clean at all times. Clear out all lint traps before/after every use. OWNER assumes no responsibility for any damage/loss to personal belonging.

Another wonderful stay on Neptune

This two-bedroom “home” with ocean view directly across from Beacons (Leucadia State Beach) is exactly as described and a wonderful place to enjoy the “Neptune Life”. My wife and I just enjoy the calm of ocean air walking to everything — sunrise/sunset walks along Neptune, nearby coffee shops and restaurants and…the beach. This six day visit was our second in two years and our only regret each time has been….we couldn’t stay longer. Richard Norwood is a great host.

Great beach house

We had a fantastic time at Richard‘s place! The location is excellent, with sunsets on the balcony every evening. Did not disappoint! Richard was extremely responsive to every message we sent him and very pleasant to deal with. We had an issue with the laundry Initially and he sorted it out immediately.. He also plumbed in an electrical outlet for us so that we could plug in our hybrid electric vehicle to charge. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a beautiful ocean view and very comfortable stay! Thank you so much, Richard!

Lovely location and view

Loved where we stayed and owner very communicative. Appreciated that. A little “warming” up with area rugs would help; also suggest no-slipmats in bath tubs. Both are slippery. Finally, a minor thing but, VRBOs seem to have adopted a guidance of no Kleenex. Seems a very small cost-saving measure that is annoying to guests.

Perfect home base for beach vacation in Leucadia

This house is a great place to stay for a beach vacation in Leucadia. We enjoyed watching sunsets and staring at the horizon from the deck. The walk across to Beacon's beach to surf or stroll couldn't be any easier. The unit is very spacious, and the kitchen is especially nice. We would love to come back to Leucadia soon, and would happily stay at Richard's place again.

Overall, we were happy with the property and location. Richard was quick to respond to questions prior to our stay. No contact was required during our stay. Dedicated onsite parking is a plus. View of the ocean is great from the balcony as this is the second story unit of the property. Even with beach parking across the street, it is a very quiet area. A couple of things to be aware of. This is a second story unit so getting luggage in/out is not an easy task as it has external stairs to the unit. Access to the beach is just across the road, but the trail down to the beach is higher than we expected, but not bad.

The pictures don’t do justice to the property or location. It is gorgeous!

The property is located right off Beacons Beach! This is a fabulous surf beach and with the added sand it is also a wonderful beach! We stayed on the second floor unit and the views are wonderful. There are zero obstruction to this view. You can stand on the balcony sip your coffee and check the surf in the morning to see if there is a set calling your name. With a swift walk down the access you can be in the water with in 5 minutes. The rooms are huge! The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready to use. The property is clean and nicely decorated, well maintained, and recently remodeled. There are 2 easy access parking spots. It is walkable to several resteraunts, shopping, and a park. We took a girls trip with my mother, adult daughter, and teen daughter. After a week on the property we were all feeling rested and restored. Thank you to the owners for letting us stay.

Great location! Steps to the beach.

Love the location pretty much on the sand in Leucadia lots of surfers every morning with their boards great view from the deck good privacy from any neighbors or walkers. Kitchen is nicely stocked. Nice appliances. Comfy living area and beds pillows and linens were comfortable slept well. Good shower pressure too. Stairs leading up to 2nd floor condo are steep if you’re a little impaired or have a suitcase. Could use an added handrail on the right. If you’re strong and steady it’s a great condo! I’d stay again for sure! Laundry in the lower garage is a plus! Definitely book this again! We are a family of 4 with grown children lots of restaurants within walking distances and the best French cafe too.

This is a great place to rent with ocean views, great neighborhood, and proximity to coffee/restaurants in Leucadia and Encinitas. Home was clean, well-equipped, and spacious. Richard the owner is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this property.

Better than advertised, spacious, bright, and well located

This place is a gem. It’s located in a quiet high end neighborhood across the street from a small beach parking lot, so there are no houses blocking the view of the ocean from this second floor apartment. Big rooms, well equipped kitchen, and second floor deck with sweeping water views. Close to shops and Pannikin coffee. This apartment is up a flight and a half of stairs. Also the beach access across the street is currently closed due to storm damage, but there’s another about a mile away, and lots by car. Several reviews mentioned trains, here’s the deal: Encinitas has a train track that runs the length of town about 1000 feet from the water. If you’re near the water, you’re near the train. In this place you can hear the train, but it’s not like it’s shaking the house. Be aware some of the other places we looked at are directly overlooking the tracks, so you might want to ask. Overall great place, we’ll be back.

Perfect Ocean View Vacation

Everything about the property was as described. Bright and clean, comfortable and peaceful. Watching the ocean, listening to the ocean and watching and joining the life at Neptune and Beacons made it hard to pack up and leave.

Short Getaway

I had a conference to attend in Carlsbad and thought it would be more fun to take the family on a quick vacation than stay solo in the hotel. It was great! I love Encinitas and this particular neighborhood was peaceful and relaxed.

Lovely space

This property is excellent, the rooms are large and clean, furniture is comfortable, kitchen pretty well stocked. Sunsets off the balcony are awesome. In all honesty, however, it should be noted that the stairs are very steep to reach the second floor and there is a train that runs nearby by about every half hour that blows its horn. That starts around 5:20AM til late. It didn't bother me, but it did my husband. Just be prepared. Perfect spot if you like to surf, run, bike, etc.
