Some areas in poor repair. Some problems that I thought if not brought to the attention of the staff could be construed as caused by me, ie, telephone wire removed from wall, debris that bounced out of sofa when I sat down, spray from the shower head that hit the ceiling when turned on causing water gathered on ceiling, missing lightbulb. In addition, there was some what appeared to be mold around the corners of the grout on the bathtub and the carpet felt tacky and dirty. The bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Nothing special

Check in was easy and quick and the lobby appeared to smell and look clean. Front desk was friendly. Hallway was dark and had the smell of smoke and marijuana. Room was basic and beds were dated and mediocre. The floors were very dirty and the room interesting smelled stale. The lights were either not working or dim. And the TV and remote did not work at all. Good water pressure. Shower was basic but had good water pressure. Sufficient stay for the cost, but not enough for me to ever return.

Needs some updating/repairs! The toilet paper was bend and hanging half off the wall. The caulking around the tub was stained and had gaps in it. The tub itself had multiple stains in it and would drain very slowly. the whole place had a musty smell. The box of facial tissues was empty after the first night and was never refilled the rest of our stay. The toilet paper holder could hold 2 rolls but never did and we ran out of the one roll. We requested extra towels because the room only has 2 sets and we had 3 adults staying. Everyday they would come in and refresh our towels, taking 3 out and leave us only 2. I had called ahead and requested a rollaway and they said we were all set. When we showed up, they didn't have any available. We come to the Harrisburg area twice a year, and have stayed in many different hotels in the area. This was one of the worst.

BARELY SATISFACTORY

I arrived late in the evening but there was a lot of activity, apparently due to a bike event/show in town. I was assigned a ground floor room. The room was very shabby and poorly maintained and I made video documentation. I had already pre-paid but the check-in person made a big deal about putting money on hold on my credit card, and I wanted to make sure I video documented the room’s condition. Paint was peeling, plates were left behind the night stand, neither of the lamps were working and one sorry little lamp in a corner was the only light in the whole room. The bathroom was in no better condition. The toilet paper holder was broken, there were stains on the bathtub floor, the air ventilator was dirty and very loud, and drainage was poor. I did not complain about any of this because there were no other vacant rooms to be transferred to. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, but the pillowcases could definitely be replaced - they had a lot of wear and tear. The breakfast was fair - there were scrambled eggs and chicken sausages and the other selections were yogurt, cereal and toast. The area didn’t have an active attendant. It was also not very busy, but it could have used some replenishment. The plastic cover over the (warm) food was broken and there was a fly roaming around. I brought the room’s condition to the front desk person in the morning, and had him do a walk through. He promised he would notify housekeeping and the manager. That was about it.

We were given the key to our room. Told it's downstairs stairs just around the corner and down the hall. So we get to the room and the key card opened the door first try and there was someone already in the room and in a bed...I got all the way back to the desk and get moved to a different room upstairs. So I go all the way up stairs and find the room. The key card didn't open the door. So I had to set my belontall back down and go all the way back downstairs to the front desk to tell him the keys didn't work. I wasn't happy at this point.

This is a quiet place. Its clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the continental breakfast leaves a bit to be desired. They have waffles, but the rest of the selection is very limited.

Great place to stay for a good price.

It was a great stay. The rooms where nice and we got adjacent room. The room was clean and the bathroom was too. The breakfast was basic but it had good choices. The service was incredible. I will stay here again when in Harrisburg.
