First the positives - the house is beautiful and very large. Lots of room to spread out.Sadly there were many things that made this stay very disappointing. Some were fixed by the end of the stay but many were not. Cannot recommend. And for context, we live in Uganda so we get some of the limitations and were prepared for some small issues.1. The pin location of the home was not accurate and it turned out being on a terrible road from both entry points. We had a 4WD so could get in but normal cars could not.2. The property manager meeting us at check-in was 1.5 hours late even though we told him he time and confirmed.3. The guard was living there with his wife and 4 children, on the compound. There were several mornings they were banging pots and pans etc. at 5:30AM.4. The refrigerator was closed and off when we came. It had not been cleaned as it stank of rotten meat even after being on.5. The gas stove had one of the elements that did not turn off. Very scary. They replaced it with a small electric burner that was useless.6. Property claims AC but there was none. Not really needed thankfully.7. The window in the east facing bedroom was not sealed around the outside. The noise from the guard's family on the property was very loud.8. Kitchen counters not clean, fan broken, taps in kitchen and master bathroom very loose.9. No wifi working when we got there. Took more than 24 hours to get it fixed.Disappointed. 1 star.
