Welcome to Collings Summer House, hosted by Simple Life Rentals! You'll be in the heart of Ephraim while staying at this adorable cottage within walking distance to beaches, shopping, restaurants and recreation activities! Located right on Water Street across from Eagle Harbor, you'll be in the center of the action, yet feel worlds away in your peaceful retreat! Sleeps up to 4 with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a pullout couch in the main living area. Enjoy reading a book in the sunshine on the outdoor patio.

Well-behaved dogs are allowed. There is an additional fee collected at booking (maximum of 2 small dogs or 1 large dog). The cottage is small so active dogs may have a hard time in the small space.

Amenity + damage protection waiver includes:
-Bed linens, pillows, blankets, and bathroom towels. (Please bring your own beach towels)
-A starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue. One each of travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom.
-PEACE OF MIND Damage protection covers up to $1000 per stay for accidental damage that is reported prior to departure (excludes any pet damage).

This property is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors and municipal restrictions, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, weddings, or other gatherings.

Our stay was okay. We loved the walkable area, beach, view from the front yard and access to area attractions. The house smelled mildewy when we arrived. We opened windows and turned on ceiling fans which seemed to help. The pillows smelled very bad. We sis switch out with the spare pillows which did help. We would return if the smell was cared for.

Nice Place To Stay

Clean and comfortable. The only complaint I have is the amount of motor noise in the bedroom from something running in the crawlspace. I am a light sleeper and didnt get much sleep that weekend due to this noise.

Great location!

The cottage is done well, clean, and superb location! Communication with the management company was always so quick. It is a lot smaller than I imagined-my first house was 800 sq ft and this felt like half that size! The bed and pillows were ok-could be firmer for my liking but could be great for others. The pullout coach is not comfortable so I wouldn’t have that as a sleeping option. I have yet to stay in place that has blackout shades but that would completely enhance the stay! Overall knowing what I know now, we’d still stay again-it was clean and so cute inside and again location is superb!

Great Door County Getaway

Great Location to enjoy some time in Door County

We were only in Door County for two nights so location was pretty important. Nestled between Fish Creek and Sister Bay this is a perfect place. We did dinners in Sister Bay, spent some time in Peninsula state park which is minutes away, enjoyed some vineyards etc. Everything with the property was great!

A fantastic cozy stay in Ephraim

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights in June 2023 and loved it. The cottage was clean and even though it's not very big, it had all the amenities we needed. The fold out bed in the living room was comfortable for my daughter and the bed in the bedroom was comfortable for me. The location can't be beat as it's only a short walk to the places like Wilson's and the Chef's Hat. For a cozy and comfortable stay close to everything in Ephraim, I highly recommend the Summer Cottage.

Adorable place, just on a busy road

Place was lovely and so clean - we had an excellent time being cozy! It is on a very busy road, though - which is understandable as there's only like one road through Door County. So it's very convenient, but just not great for having a dog or taking walks. Also wished they advertised that the check-in time isn't until 4pm. Otherwise, great stay.
