We checked into our room and quickly left. Room was filthy, floor dirty, curtains dusty and had a terrible odor. Hallway had multiple dirty spots on carpeting and had air freshener all over to hide offensive odors. When informing the front desk we were leaving and why she gave us no response other than the room was non-refundable. This hotel needs new management and a total remodel!! Stay away!

As a person with some mobility issues be sure you request a 1st floor room because there is no elevator. This a budget hotel it was a clean bed and a tv with a very nice location on the lake.

I booked on ratings & reviews. I’m not sure what they won the awards for & what year. The guy checking us in was grumpy. The lady checking us out was ok. The carpet is gross. The pillows were hard. Sink was clogged. Breakfast was premade Jimmy Dean sandwich, yogurt & no coffee. They fixed the coffee before we left & made a new pot.

Lobby, halls,stairs and room smelled of dirt, food,pot smoke??? TV had about 50 stations but no ABC,NBC or CBS !!! Wife left with wet hair because hair dryer didn’t work. Skipped the free breakfast and hit the road early.

The Staff at this Econolodge were exemplary at their jobs and nice persons. Being right next to the shore of Lake Michigan was extremely beautiful and healing just to look at in person.
