When I first checked in the front desk woman acted annoyed that she had to help me. She didn’t smile or even say hello. When she asked for my card for incidentals, she told me my credit card had been declined even though there was an issue with the 3rd party site I booked through, not my card itself. When I got to my room I walked in and noticed that there were dirty towels on the floor and an unmade bed. The room was still dirty from the day before (and I didn’t check in until 730/8pm). When I went to the desk to tell her, she again acted annoyed that she had to get me another room. When I got to second room, it smelled horribly of smoke and air freshener in an attempt to mask the smell, even though it was seemed a “non-smoking” room. The hallways were dingy and dirty, and the rooms and halls smelled of mildew. Even the coffee was Luke warm and weak. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again.

Room was very clean and staff was very friendly Did get checked in a little later then 4:00due to room not ready but only like 45 minutes Receptionist apologized several times for delay Was not a fan of the breakfast though not much there waffles and biscuits and gravy Would have liked some eggs at least All in all was a nice stay and beds were very comfortable

We stayed in room 305. Location was great. Right on main road. Clean room, bit outdated, but comfortable. Parts of the wallpaper was coming undone at the seams and was definitely old and dated. Everything worked in our room except for the heating lamp in the bathroom. Breakfast was fine for what it was. My partner enjoyed it the day after we had arrived. I had half a bagel with peanut butter. The pool area was nice and spacious. Nice large pool area and wonderful hot tub. We enjoyed the hot tub very much and stated that it was one of the best ones we've ever used...until I had mold floating near me. We looked and realized that underneath the edges of hot tub was not scrubbed/cleaned and debris was literally coming off from the tub and into the water. We spent maybe 15 mins in the jetted hot tub, saw the floating mold, got out and spent another 15-20 mins in the pool and shortly hopped out since we didn't want to get sick. We never went back the pool area after that. My partner was disappointed since he had really wanted a good soak in the hot tub. It was extremely disappointing since we had chosen the hotel for it's fair price and pool area. Hoping not to have this experience the next time we return with our children.

The hotel was very dirty, breakfast area dirty, microwave very sticky, looked to me, that only the bedrooms have been slightly cleaned by the service. The most of all was, that Expedia charged me $150.08 for that night, while the hotel rate for that night was $122.69 ( I requested the receipt from them, because there were some damages in our room, I took pictures off, on my arrival).

Cons: Outdated and old, which gave the impression of being dirty. Unable to fill our water bottles because both water coolers didn’t work. VERY rude front desk clerk - not welcoming at all. Pros: beds were very comfortable. Very quiet even though it was crowded. Breakfast host was lovely - SUPER friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good.

It’s a little outdated but clean. The staff was friendly the pool and hot tub are clean and very large. The breakfast was typical but nice to have. The staff manning the food was kind and kept everything stocked. If we are in Escanaba again this is where we will stay.

It’s was OK for just a night. It seemed like we were interrupting two employees working on something when we came to the counter to check in. And then they had to log back into their system and it seemed a little odd. We ran an errand and came back to the room to relax before dinner and we had an employee use a key card and open our door on us. It was very confusing and a little alarming as we were not expecting that. He did apologize and we called down to the lobby to just confirm they had an employee who was doing that on our floor (they said the person was doing checks on the cleanliness of the rooms). But that took us by surprise and sort of gave us an uneasy feeling. The bathroom faucets and drains were corroded and rusty. And the bathroom ceiling had black mold. We did not feel it was very sanitary.

Get new carpet.

They need to rip the carpet off those floors. They allow pets and the rooms smell like wet dogs. They need to Get new pillows for the beds, (i bring my own just in case) they are old and musty. Other than that the stay was ok. I would stay again if needed to, just would have to bring some room freshener for the carpet and again my own pillows.
