I have stayed at this hotel several times, and generally have had great experiences (I love the beachfront location, the convenience for the center of Exmouth, and the Premier Inn consistency). This visit was however disappointing - the hotel is undergoing major external renovations and is covered in scaffolding. No advance notice from Expedia or Premier Inn of this. Arrived at 2:45pm and asked if I could check in - was told that I could check in (15 mins early) for a large fee. Elected to wait in the lobby like everyone else. Discovered that the room was not clean - a strange green liquid on the bathroom sink not matching the soap from the dispenser. I suspect attention to detail in cleaning the rest of the room was probably equally lax.
