I reach got a room 1st floor. Why I'm getting a room with a door looking like someone was trying to break in? I told the manager he said its okay almost all of them are like that. Seriously, NOPE that aint working with me. I know how a door supposed to look like...I have never encounter a situation like this. Then he wants to give me a second room with the same issue. I'm like this is crazy. Just reach from a flight and have to deal with this. A woman and a child. At the end I got a room in the second floor. Also the parking didn't feel safe because I park in the side to take the side door, since the parking was full, when ask the person said they know, just have to change the battery. Well....change it!The area is very secluded. NOT SAFE The hallway smell like weed. I will NEVER EVER stay here again.

The door on the room I was sent to wouldn't open so the desk clerk upgraded me to a suite, with was nice of him. But the mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. I barely slept.

Stayed here for WCU homecoming. Very close to all the activities. Felt safe and room & hotel were clean. Continental breakfast very good.

We were there for one night. The room was clean but we had a full wall of mirrors behind the bed which seemed out of place. The hotel looked like it was an older hotel they painted and fixed up. When we got the "breakfast room" there were only 3 tables. There was a breakfast bar behind the tables but the room was so small you could not utilize it. Food was running out and the limited staff had a hard time to keep up with refilling. They ran out of butter, and put out frozen bagels and muffins you had to defrost before toasting. The toaster worked minimally and the waffle machine not at all. Coffee and hot water for tea ran out and never replaced. Would not choose again.

The room I reserved with two beds was substituted against my wishes for a one bed with sofa pull out. The pull out smelled of mouse piss. The clerk was less than helpful it was too late to go one more mile and pay for an additional room elsewhere. Hated this hotel, will not stay at another microtel again because of this trip.

I would never stay here again and if I knew then what I know now I would have never booked it. The hotel is understaffed and it shows. Few people around, feeling semi vacant, few cleaning rooms, taking most of the day. Heaps of trash sat in the hallways for hours. We saw staff most often smoking near the entrance. The elevator was broken. The hallways smelled of trash and body odor. The carpet was past its prime. Our hot room smelled of old food and chemicals which, little did we know, was the highlight of its evolution. By the time we got back it was sour and off, like mop water with a hint of dairy. Holes in the walls were sloppily patched. The shower walls were visibly dirty. No liner. The toilet smelled of septic, its seat chipped and scuffed to the point it looked filthy. Shower temp was fine. The headboards were mirrors. Classy. At least not on the ceiling. Bedding appeared clean enough—we trusted what could be bleached to death, and the sheets were—almost crunchy. Everything else was stained despite scrubbing. A TV with a few channels and a universal remote that barely worked. We cranked the overworked AC hoping to mask smell and heat. By morning the room was cold but damp. Our olfactory took care of the smell. We slept fine enough. We survived the night—no shady activity, felt safe, no bugs. I didn’t believe the bad reviews. That’s my mistake. This is a 2 star review for a 1 star hotel.
