The bartenders and wait staff were AMAZING. The RIU FUN staff were awesome Kevano especially. Vanessa at the Buffett was extremely attentive and remembered me and my drink order. My only Con was the housekeeper assigned to my room I believe her name was Patricia or something with a P. There was black hair all over the toilet room floor from the day I arrived until the day I left AND IM BLOND. There was a drop of cranberry juice near the nightstand from the first day I stayed, that I cleaned myself with a towel after noticing it was still there when I returned to the room after she had “tidied” up the room. She had the audacity to ask for a tip on my check out day as well. I mean it’s not like I’m messy as she stated herself how clean we were and I am a very generous tipper so I of course was going to tip her AND DID because that’s the type of person I am. My issue was her asking for it that urked me. Besides that EVERYONE FROM THE FRONT DESK, THE SPA STAFF, THE POOL WAIT STAFF & BARTENDERS WERE AMAZING. THEY ALL SANG ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY ON MY BDAY AND WERE ATTENTIVE TO OUR EVERY NEED. The grounds keepers Were friendly even while working in that heat and several for hrs. My Only Suggestion would be RIU NEEDS TO PROVIDE SOME UPDATED LAWN MOWERS, WITH. THE MONEY YOU GUYS CHARGING it’s ridiculous that the workers are up keeping such a huge property with a Hand held Lawn mower. Besides that EVERYONE WAS AMAZING I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK.

The property is less than an hour away from Montego Bay airport. It has 700 rooms, but not enough space nor elevators to accommodate so many ppl. You often had to wait for several full elevators to go by before there was one with enough space. The main dining hall was often too full, as were the areas around the pools. The gym was too small. It was hard to find seats for the popular shows. The design of the hotel is rather bland; the sterile white halls reminds one of a hospital. The main shows at 9:30pm were excellent, especially the MJ & Jamaica shows. The main buffet had the best food. The steakhouse wasn’t great. The gourmet restaurant was okay for a change up. You really have to put in your reservations early or you won’t get in the speciality restaurants. The drinks at the bar were a mixed bag. You needed to find the right bartender because the quality of the drinks varied substantially. We enjoyed the beach, except you do need water shoes. There are rocks in the water. They need more activities for so many guests. There are many drivers outside who you can negotiate with for excursions.

RIU Aquarelle is great! I had an issue with my reservation, and Expedia was absolutely no help at all! However the resort manager was able to come up with a solution and save the day. The property, staff, food, entertainment all amazing and I highly recommend! However I also recommend triple checking your booking through Expedia so that your trip isn’t almost ruined they way they almost ruined my daughters birthday trip.

Beautiful peoperty. Has everything. Great service. Friendly staff. Beautiful beach. Great entertainment and nightlife. Gym was sufficient. Buffet has great selection. Restaurants were good. Somewhat of a wait for food. Wish the pool was open later.

The Hotel was wonderful. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. The buffet was great every night and the other 5 restaurants were awesome. Just keep in mind you have to make reservations for them, either thru the app or in person. On another day I saw one of their life guards save an older lady from almost drowning in the RIU Splash section of the hotel.The entertainment, did not disappoint at all! Every night, there was something to do, there was dancing, music and shows. My favorite day was especially on Saturday night! On this particular Saturday they were having a white party in another hotel at Ocho Rios. Transportation was included! My wife and I had a blast! The only negative thing I have to say is not directed towards the hotel itself but with one gentleman that arranges activities & transportation for the hotels guests.The day we were leaving, my family & I waited and waited for a pick-up and drop-off to the airport. No one picked us up, even though we had arranged this prior. We ended up paying $100 out of pocket getting to the airport. So be careful with this gentlemen, He doesn't seem reliable and his demeanor felt as if he didn't want to be there.

We had an amazing time at this resort. We had a 2 bedroom ocean view suite for our family. The resort is new and well kept. The staff was so attentive, engaging, and helpful. The entertainment was top notch, especially the Jamaican Evolution show. We were only able to get reservations at one of the specialty restaurants, Kyoto, the Asian restaurant. That restaurant was just ok. We preferred the buffet with all of the local foods. There were even oxtails on the buffet one night! I would definitely recommend this resort to others.

Honestly had a great time, depending on the day certain staff were better than others but over all good staff. Food was best in the buffet. Fine dining options were mid. Never finished any plate from the fine dining. Buffet was great! Drinks are very watered down but if you request more alcohol they are very accommodating. Rooms were pretty clean , tiny bit of mold in the shower but over all clean. Rooms are big! Pool bar was the best! Plenty of activities and entertainment.

Hospitality was amazing! Staff, bartenders, cleaning crew, all really nice and welcoming. Water slides for the kids are so much fun. Property grounds are well maintained. Some downsides, family pool is 4ft deep across the whole pool, Makes it difficult for kids to enjoy the pool. Lots of rocks in the ocean, only a few parts within the resort property that is nice. Cleaning staff around the pool and bathrooms did a good job keeping area clean, but it is the guests who don’t take pride in the resort and leave a mess everywhere (cups, fruit from their drinks floating in the pool, straws from drinks lying around everywhere). Dinner options aren’t the best and you need reservations for the 4 restaurants on site. If nothing is available, then you are stuck with the buffet. Overall, we stayed for 6 days and had an absolute blast. But day 5 we experienced everything there and were satisfied. Would return again, hopefully they add more dinning options and more menu items at each restaurant.
