Beautiful countryside home with pool + views

Beautiful Holiday Home in Southern France. Located near the village of Fanjeaux within the rolling countryside of the Aude (Languedoc) region, with views of the Pyrenees.

L'Obit Ouest is a 4 bedroom converted barn, with many original features. The house is decorated with a neutral, sophisticated feel.

The spacious open plan kitchen, living room and dining area is the heart of the house, providing a sociable space for guests. The room is flooded with light from triple aspect windows, and large glass doors on to the South facing terrace with incredible views of the countryside, Pyrenees mountains, and amazing sunsets. On the terrace you will find a large dining table and chairs for 10-12 people, an outdoor sofa, and a BBQ for all day entertainment and lounging in the sunshine.

There are four ensuite bedrooms (3 kingsize + 1 double), all with air conditioning.

Guests will have private access to the walled swimming pool (10x4m)*, with sunloungers and pool towels available for guests to enjoy.

The house is surrounded by a large garden (4000m/1hectare), with a landscaped lawn and shrubbery to the South aspect in front of the terrace, and a large grassed area perfect for children to play to the North of the barn.


Guest access
You will have sole access to the whole house, gardens and pool during your stay. Guests will not have access to the storage/garage areas underneath the property.

The garden is open to the countryside

We have one neighbouring property, however the houses have an entirely separate feel as the neighbours house, gardens and pool face a different way from L’Obit Ouest. Our house, garden and pool remains secluded and are not directly overlooked by the neighbours.

*Pool is open from April to September only

For winter guests, the house is heated by electric heaters in all rooms, as well as the air conditioning units providing heated air in the bedrooms. The master bedroom ensuite bathroom is fitted with underfloor heating.
