A sunfilled one bedroom private cottage amongst native gardens and abundant birdlife. Wake up to the sound of birds and see the occaisional wallaby or koala.

The cottage is on a section of a small acreage in the village of Federal in the Byron hinterland. It is private from the main residence and is 60m2 plus verandah.

The cottage has a full kitchen and open plan kitchen, dining and lounge, washing machine, walk in shower and comfortable queen sized bed, There is a verandah that looks out over the valley with glimpses of the ocean and the swoops of the Byron Bay lighthouse at night. It's a short distance from the quaint Federal villiage where you will find the popular Doma Cafe and Moonshine Coffee.

The cottage is suitable for couples with all the amenities for a short getaway, romantic weekend or a longer stay to explore this beautiful area. It's quiet, private and comfortable.

We are located in the beautiful Byron Hinterland. Although a world away from the hustle and bustle of Byron, all amenities are in easy reach.

It is recomended that you have your own vehicle as Ubers and taxis dont reliably service the hinterland.

The property is located:
5 minutes to Federal village with Doma Cafe, Moonshine Coffee, the General Store and local park.
15 minutes to Clunes General Store, boutique wine shop and cafe
20 minutes to Mullumbiby and Bangalow
25 minutes to Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads
30 minutes to Lismore and Ballina.

The Ballina Gateway Airport is 35 minutes and the Gold Coast airport is an hour away.

As Federal is a small village and the cafe and general store close after business hours, it is recomended that you purchase your groceries prior to arriving, particularly if after business hours.

What a wonderful getaway to a paradise amongst the hills. High end fit out and generous local produce samples. Everything you could wish for. Cabin is so comfy and spacious. Peaceful surroundings to enjoy the flora and fauna. Handy to road trips to the great little towns and markets. One of the best cabins we have stayed in!
