Enjoy breathtaking views on horseback or while hiking, then return to the cozy cabin to cook in the fully equipped kitchen or grill dinner on the deck. End your day with a soak in the hot tub or a movie on the HDTVs. Day trips to Boone or Blowing Rock are just a short drive away, offering fun for all ages.

This home is located in the 4000 acre, Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Ferguson, NC. Our guests are invited to enjoy our Horseback Riding program where you can experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains pristine wilderness by Horseback (reservation required). You will have access to miles of hiking trails, mountain streams, stocked fishing pond, community swimming pool, play ground and tennis courts, creek tubing (seasonal), on-site restaurant with active live music & event calendar (guest advised to check hours when planning meals).

Leatherwood Mountains has surveillance or recording devices on the property. Our neighborhood is very safe and our property very secluded. For added peace of mind, we have security cameras by the gated entrance and common areas. Individual properties may also have cameras on the EXTERIOR of homes. Please be assured they are not directed at private areas, hot tub porches etc.

Hounds Retreat

Very nice and well stocked cabin! We enjoyed the location. Lots of fun trails, playground, and horse back riding for the kids. We would stay here again.
