The Full Fes Experience at Dar Arsama We stayed three wonderful nights immersed deep in the Fes Medina. As an experience it was similar to the best we have had when we stay in a small bed & breakfast. Three features of our stay made it especially pleasant and rewarding: 1. This is a 400-year-old building that the owners have personally beautifully restored. The updating maintained the ambiance of a comfortable Moroccan house. 2. Our hosts and the location made the Medina work for us. a. The host met us on arrival at the main "blue" gate and escorted us to Dar Arsama. While it is deep in the Medina, it is located just off a main "street" and we had no trouble leaving and returning to it on our own. b. The Dar offers home made evening meals that are excellent and reasonably priced. We did this two nights and wished we had done that on the third night. c. Our host recommended an excellent guide who showed us the Medina and Fes. 3. As is true with most B&Bs we have enjoyed, the opportunity to get to know the owners adds much to the experience. We definitely enjoyed talking with the owners (Violeta and her husband) and the other guests. Cleanliness was impeccable. Breakfasts were very good and served in the roof-top garden. WiFi bandwidth was also very good. An excellent value for the money!

Great stay.

Lovely Riad. The owner Violeta is a delight. Breakfast very nice also. Very central for the sights of Fes but up a quieter side road which is perfect. Great roof terrace to sit and relax.

Riad Dar Arsama is located in the heart of the Medina, but very close to the blue door from where you can take your taxi to the airport. it is very close to the vibrant high street were shops and the market are. The hosts are lovely people, very friendly, always keen to give advise, suggestions and ideas on how to spend your day in and outside Fez. They also offer different activities. Myself and my husband we took an in-house moroccan cooking class were you can choose what type of moroccan food to make and learn the basics of the moroccan cuisine. The cooking class experience was great and at the end of it we ate the delicious food that we prepared!! The breakfast was great, rich and delicious!! The decor and design of the Riad is typical from Morocco and also include a beautiful terrace. I would highly recommend Riad Arsama as place to stay whilst in Fez.

A gem in the Fes Médina!

I loved this place! Violeta provided a warm welcome and made me feel like I was staying with friends or family. Location was fantastic, about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the Blue Gate and near lots of shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions. The Dar was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Value for money was incredible. I look forward to returning to Fes and staying at Dar Astana again!

Todo fue excelente!!!

Viajar a Fez es toda una aventura! Sin embargo debo decir que sentirte apoyado y en un ambiente acogedor hace de la visita una gran experiencia. Violeta fue por nosotros a la entrada de la puerta azul y nos guió hasta su riad, nos instaló y el ambiente se siente como en casa!! Súper atenta y linda, además de que no solo habla español! Yo por si sola no hubiera llegado ademas de que veníamos muy cargados de equipaje.El riad es pequeño pero super acogedor y muy cuidados todos los detalles; ya instalados en las habitaciones la decoración te hace sentir completamente en contexto y vivir la experiencia de la Medina. Viaje con mis padres y disfrutamos mucho conversar con ella. Lo recomiendo al 100% por atención y calidad de su riad!!!
