Sea Urchins Cottage is situated on Turnberry Drive, and is one of the cottages closest to the beach path, plus only a few minutes walk to the playground, tennis court, and village centre.

Enter through the front door into the spacious hallway with coat and shoe storage bench, plus downstairs cloakroom under the stairs.

To the right is the open-plan lounge / dining / kitchen space. There are two sofas, a log burner, dining table and 6 chairs. The kitchen is well-equipped with a tall free-standing fridge-freezer. French doors open onto the patio with seating. The 2 parking spaces are also at the rear of the house, where there is also a large communal lawn with shrubs.

Upstairs, there are two self-contained bedroom suites. To the left is bedroom 1 with kingsize bed, full bathroom (bath with shower over), TV and storage, and a door onto the full-width balcony with seating and sea view.

To the right is bedroom 2, with a zip & link bed which can be set up as twin singles (3ft) or a superking bed on request. This bedroom has a newly fitted walk-in shower ensuite too.

On request, we also provide a camp bed for the 5th guest (child) which fits in the main bedroom or downstairs.

We leave games, toys, jigsaws, books, beach toys, pool toys and more for our guests to use. The log burner makes this cottage warm and cosy for breaks all year round.

​Please note the parking bay sleepers can be uneven and slippery when wet.
During your stay at this cottage, you're just a quick walk from Hunmanby Sands. Enjoy features like an indoor pool, a gym, and a water park. Free WiFi and a kitchen are available in the cottage.

Lovely house with all the amenities you would need. The Covid cleanliness was excellent and gave much needed reassurance in these odd time. We have stayed at The Bay before , but this property has an excellent location and being able to see the sea was lovely.

Lovely holiday home

A lovely holiday home which has one of the best views of Filey Brigg you could wish for! Even if the weather isn't great you can still sit out on the balcony and watch the world go by. The cottage is well kept and situated very near the path to the beach, pub and pool which is ideal if you have children. Each bedroom has an ensuite along with a cloakroom downstairs. Plenty of space throughout. We'll definitely be booking again!

This was our second stay at the bay. The first property that we stayed at was brilliant and we hoped for something of a similar standard but this property truly exceeded all our expectations. Was able to walk down the path on to the beach and then all the way to Filey which was really nice not having to bother with the car (having taken note of the high tide times). We didn't use the swimming facilities as we did not have time but the estate is superbly kept.

Fantastic winter break at the Sea Urchins Cottage

We had a 4 night winter break at the new Sea Urchins Cottage on the Bay, Filey and what an amazing time we had. The location is amazing with direct access onto the beach. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay and will suit everyone's needs. Our 2 border terriers - Silva and Lily had a wonderful time too. The owners should be very proud of their accommodation and the sea views from the master bedroom are breathtaking. We will certainly promote this accommodation to our family and friends and hope to be back soon.
