Beautiful new hotel, lots of kinks to work out. Bathroom drain had so much hair it would not drain, ice bucket had last guest's water in it. We informed front desk that the phone next door had been ringing for hours. 3 hours later it was still ringing. Ice machine said get ice for coolers from bar or kitchen. They were grumpy about filling it up. Also, shower is one of those 1/2 glass wall showers so bathroom floor was always wet. Given all of that, it is still the nicest hotel at Flagler Beach. We'd go there again just b/c of that.

It was a wonderful stay at the Compass. It would have been nice to have a small table in our room to play cards in the evening. Just 1 chair and 1 desk chair only. Had to use the bed to place the cards. But the cleaning staff was awesome giving us sone extra hand towels. And the restaurant staff was outstanding. I think the waitress in the morning was Dianne. Saw her several times while having your continental breakfast. Loved the Jimmy Buffet music channel. All in all a great visit.

Loved the room & amenities, shower needs some pcs.

The facility was new and very comfortable. My only complaint was the shower, I'm 79 with a bad back so this may only be my issue but the shower needed a folding wall chair, some bars to hold onto, a hook to hang a wet washcloth on and perhaps a sliding half glass to keep water from escaping on the open side. The parts of the shower that were there were all first rate

We appreciated the proximity of the location to the beach, the overall accommodations, no high-speed traffic in the vicinity, secure self-parking onsite, meals available onsite, reasonable costs, and more. Would be glad to stay at the Compass Hotel Flagler Beach again.

The hotel is cute. The pool area is small. But you have the beach across the street. The restaurant and bars in this town close very early by 10 o’clock which is the downside. They claim it’s because it’s more of a smaller surfers town.
