This apartment is a Bait and Switch dont rent it.

We booked the Benedetto Duomo. About a week before the stay, the Apartment management company called Apartments of Florence emailed me directly to tell me the apartment was no longer available. I immediately called Hotels.com customer service several times and each time they contacted the apartment rental company in Florence and were assured that the apartment was fine. Hotels.com told me to ignore the emails. Well I was getting so stressed out and wanted to make sure everything would be OK when we arrived so I contacted the apartment company in Florence directly and they told me that the Benedetto Duomo flooded. Why they told Hotels.com one thing and told me something completely different, I have no idea. But the management company said dont worry we are going to upgrade you to something better. Well this was no upgrade. the new apartment was not nearly as pretty as the Benedetto. Plus they could not fit us all in one apartment so we had to take two separate units. They were adjoining so it wast too bad but just a very awkward set up. I never would have picked this for myself. It was very old and not very clean, plus we had NO WIFI for the first three days. Florence data is spotty at best and then to have no wifi in a foreign country - we were at a loss. The service was terrible. My opinion is that this Benedetto Duomo is used as bait to get bookings and then they switch you at the last minute to places that nobody else wants. Use caution!!!!!
