A beautiful place to stay in a city full of beauty

Pros: Its beauty and comfort. Breakfasts: Large goblets of fruit in syrup, fresh pastries, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, proscuttio, cheeses, yogurts...
Cons: Complimentary spa use was wonderful, but it smelled of feet. Maybe this was more the smell of damp, as the spa is situated in the basement. Unpleasant
Location: Perfect location - very central for all the main sites. All within 10 minutes walk. Duomo, Uffizi, Santa Croce. Lots of great restaurants nearby.
If you are going to visit a city like Florence, rich in history, resplendent in beautiful art and architecture, then you need a place to stay that ensures that you continue to enjoy this experience when the art galleries, museums and churches are closed for the evening. Borghese Palace Art Hotel provides exactly that! A medieval exterior belies its contemporary interior and everything within its walls conspires to blend the two in a seamless juxtaposition, where the Renaissance meets Modernity in harmonious union. Beautiful - and quite unusual - works of Modern art adorn the reception and marble-floored lobby. The bar area is sumptuous, decadent even, with its grand piano and ambient lighting. The lift that takes you to the upper floors where your room awaits you - a quirky structure that passes from inside to outside - is surrounded by a metallic, almost steam punk inspired, quasi industrial spiral staircase. Your room will have an enormous piece of contemporary artwork above the bed, lit with pretty purple spotlights - this will be the first thing you will notice when you enter. The furniture will be mostly minimalist, functional, and dotted about will be modern works of art that are highlighted by the clean lines of the other furnishings. The bathroom is especially grand, with a huge shower-head and plentiful amounts of complimentary toiletries. Breakfasts are to die for by the way - read about why below. Staff are so friendly too. Really can't do enough for you.

Die Lage des Hotels ist super gut. Von dort aus ist alles gut zu Fuss zu erreichen. Das Hotelzimmer war leider nicht gross, obwohl ich ein grösseres Zimmer gebucht hatte. Auch das Badezimmer war ziemlich klein.

Agreable pour 2nuit pas plus.

Personnel tres sympa ,et tres serviable , petit dej tres copieux , dommage pour le bruit dans les chambres et les matelas trop.mou et l odeur desagreable du spa qui remonte dans le hall de l hotel .hotel de passage encore un peu trop cher par rapport a la qualite des services.

Very pretty hotel in a fantastic location

Stayed here for three nights in February. The service was great and the staff extremely friendly. There was a nice breakfast buffet. Almost everything is reachable within a short walk.
