Superb beyond imagination

Words cannot describe how incredible this apartment is. Stunningly beautiful, understated old world glamor, and just the right measure of personal charm, we felt like guests in a family home. In a city as magical as Florence, it's hard to imagine not wanting to leave your flat. But leave we did - just one step outside the building and you're bathing in history, architecture, coffee, pastries, food, wine, leather amongst the buzz of Florentine passion for life. Even the weather was better than promised, enhancing the apartment experience with fresh air through gorgeous windows presenting dreamy views. As wonderful as the apartment is, I cannot express my gratitude enough for the service and support from Marisa, our host. She kept in contact with us starting the day before our departure from the US, through our delayed flights and missed connections, and continued to check on us throughout the week. Although we were not daunted by the loss of our luggage upon arrival (how could we?), Marisa went way beyond a host's scope to help us search, locate and deliver our belongings. Unbelievable hospitality.

Wonderful flat on Santa Croce

Can not say enough about how wonderful this property is. Bonus roof terrace has an amazing view. Great light, incredible location and beautiful, week cares for building. I would highly recommend this property especially because while an easy to get to location, it is away from all the craziness, crowds and noise surrounding the Duomo.

We had a amazing time. Marisa was the best host you could have possibly imagined. From Taxi to reservations to the nicest restaurants. We will definitely go back and stay with them again. You will love the apartment with the small rooftop with the basilica view, it was spectacular! You will be pleased! Thank you Marisa.

Beautiful and great location

The property was spacious and clean upon arrival. We ended up getting there later in the evening but were given all the instructions to get there via Whatsapp and it worked flawlessly. There is a small rooftop area that is not pictured but had an incredible view and was a great surprise. It was nice and quiet but still close enough to everything we needed.

Everything was perfect!

Our stay at the Il Carro and the Lion Nero at the Basilica of Santa Croce, Florence, Italy was amazing! Everything was perfect. Serena and Alberto were very helpful and always attentive during our stay. We felt very safe and the property was so beautiful! We had a large group so we stayed in both apartments and it worked out great! Staying in these apartments was like staying in a luxury hotel with all the amenities of home. The location was perfect. Everything was walkable and the views were spectacular! I highly recommend this property and will definitely be back. Thanks Alberto and Serena!
