The apartment has some typical features of early twentieth century Florentine architecture: the stairway to the house in pietra serena (the typical gray stone of Florence); the living room and bedroom floors with red and black hexagonal cement tiles; the grit sink, the huge kitchen hood and the solid wood furniture that belonged to our ancestors.
