Elegant hotel in the heart of Firenze

Very much enjoyed my short stay at this hotel. Superb location only a short walk from the Duomo and close to the station. Extremely helpful staff and very comfortable and well appointed room. Hotel is beautifully designed and furnished. Very lavish breakfasts and nothing too much trouble for the staff. Highly recommend it and will be very happy to stay here again on my next trip to Firenze.

Amazing hotel

Pros: The location was perfect and the staff very friendly. The hotel is beautiful and had lots of nice touches that made the stay feel personal.
Cons: We had a lot of noise from the street as we were in a front facing room and more information on the coffee etc at breakfast would be good.
Location: All attractions are within 15 mins maximum walk away. The Duomo was less than 5 mins walk away.
We had a great stay. The location was perfect and the hotel and facilities were amazing. Would highly recommend.

Great location, clean, friendly staff

Pros - great room - great location - informative staff Cons - poor breakfast (a fair number of pastries and cakes but poor quality healthy options e.g. Fruit) - poor coffee (my cappuccinos were fair too milky and had a strange taste, best to get coffee's away from the hotel) - no restocking water in the mini bar

One of the best I've stayed in

The location of the hotel, right in the middle of Florence is perfect for getting around. We arrived by taxi, which stopped right outside the door, but I do agree with others, that the entrance to the hotel could be difficult to find if you didn't know where you're going. The facilities in the room were excellent, with a small mini bar which is free for the first round, but then you have to pay. A large wardrobe makes organising clothes easy, and the walk in shower was excellent with a good flow and easily adjustable temperature. Our room was at the back of the hotel on the third floor, as we had requested a quiet room. We didn't get many guests walking past our room, which was lucky because the soundproofing is not great, and you can hear people standing outside the room talking. All the staff were VERY attentive and spoke very good, if not perfect English. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel has a restaurant with a cooking/serving school attached. I would highly recommend eating there. I have a wheat allergy, and all the staff were highly knowledgeable about gluten free eating, with a little book to consult if they were not sure. I had the BEST steak I think I've ever eaten. ALL the food was delicious and made on the premises. The only things I would have changed about the hotel were the flowers in the lobby, which looked a bit worse for wear, but are easily fixed. The rooms could do with soundproofing, and the bathroom mirror on the wall next to the toilet, so you can see yourself when you're using the loo.

Great vacation it was!

Perfect location: Duomo is just around the corner, railway station 5 min.,walking from the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quite ok breakfasts.
