This is the heart of Florence, steps from everything. My room was pleasant and clean. The hotel is on the second floor so I preferred walking up the stairs to dealing with the elevator but there is one available.

No central air conditioning and extremely small air conditioning unit. When you go out and remove your key from the room, lights are turned off (expected) BUT the AC UNIT IS ALSO TURNED OFF!!! This is insane, came back at 11pm to a room like an oven and had to wait 3+ hours until it cooled down enough to sleep. No AC in the bathroom either. And.. someone had the dumbest idea of putting a piano next to my door. Oh my!, no more comments.

No service when needed. We broke a glass and couldn't get a broom or house cleaning til the next morning. While cleaning up the glass ourselves we found pills and drugs under the bed.... Very unhappy with this hotel if we had children in here and they found those pills it would have been very bad.

Excellent location right across the street from the Cathedral. The room was super spacious (for European standards) with a nice clean bathroom and comfy bed. You do have to take the stairs when you first check-in and check-out (something to note if you have luggage). Also, since it’s in the heart of the city you will hear street noise/diners outside at night, but it kinda adds to the ambiance and didn’t bother me at all. The owner is super nice and let me keep my luggage there for an extra night. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Sorry to say I put myself in such miserable situation after long ride to reach the property we discovered we can’t find it, wondering around for 30 minutes asking the boutique just on first floor of the property a young man said, don’t know then by chance a couple came out from an very old elevator, we asked as they are residents of Doumo Hotel, they asked to go up to 4 floor where the hotel whereas our hotel is on first floor which can’t reach because it’s locked and we need a key. Isn’t strange no reception but we found a button and name of our hotel we kept pressing with no answer then we decided to go up to 4th floor where Doumo Hotel is. There we find an receptionist when I asked him on our hotel he confirm yes it is on 1st floor but I said we can’t reach it and I asked if we can find a room in his hotel he said it is fully booked I mentioned to this guy after such experience is that a scam he confirmed no no it isn’t and there is somebody will appear then me and my wife got down finally my wife pressed the button and shouted someone answered after I was almost heading myself out of the building to find another hotel. No one contacted us after we got our keys and card, no telephone inside the room. No breakfast, there is a note says there cafe down if you purchased your breakfast. It isn’t a hotel but if it was I will rank it zero stars. Please Expedia it is your responsibility when you advertise on anything you should well know what has been written is 100% true.

This is literally the closest you can get to the duomo, super clean room and really safe. Parking is a bit pricey and its a bit hard to find the entrance but once you find it, it's great!
