Spacious 160 sqm home located in a historic Florentine palace with an elevator, just a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo and the Uffizi. Ideal for families or groups, it comfortably accommodates up to 4+2 guests.

High ceilings, generous rooms, and an airy layout make this home extremely rare in Florence’s historic center. The presence of an elevator in the building is also an uncommon feature in historic Florentine palaces.

The two-level layout ensures independence and tranquility, while the en-suite bedrooms provide privacy and comfort.

The spacious living room is perfect for relaxing after a day spent exploring museums or shopping.

The dining area is welcoming and seats up to six guests around a design table, while the fully equipped kitchen allows you to enjoy the home as if it were your own.

On the mezzanine level there is also a laundry area with separate washing machine and dryer, ironing board, and iron. The laundry is supplied with all necessary detergents.

Central yet quiet location

The apartment offers the perfect balance: central enough to walk to Florence’s most iconic landmarks, yet located away from the busiest tourist streets.

The Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Accademia are all within easy walking distance.
Restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, and local markets are just a few steps from the apartment.

The apartment is located in a historic Florentine building with an elevator. Please note that once inside the apartment there are internal stairs leading to the upper level where part of the sleeping area is located.

The apartment is not located in a limited traffic zone (ZTL). Guests arriving by car may stop briefly in front of the building to unload luggage and then park in one of the many nearby garages.

The apartment and its location were fabulous. 10 minutes from train station, we walked to all attractions. Delicious food options minutes from our front door. Only glitch for our visit was television was out due to storms prior to arrival. Provider was supposed to have it back in service within 48 hours but never worked. Don’t blame host for this issue. Loved our stay in Florence and would stay here again! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. It is tastefully decorated, impeccably clean and with a lovely light filled dining and living room. The layout is such that there are stairs within the flat but this wasn’t an issue for us. Don’t look any further if you need a place to stay in Florence!! This apartment was VERY CLEAN, VERY SPACIOUS (accommodating our family of 5 easily), EASILY WALKABLE to most sites and the entire space is AIR CONDITIONED (to the point that my wife wanted a sweatshirt, but I thought it was perfect!)!! Our host met us when we arrived and went through the entire space and also helped us when we asked about making a dinner reservation! Communication was prompt and very easy through the VRBO app.

Great location and apartment. Enjoyed being in a more residential neighborhood just outside the central district. Easy walk everywhere though. Unit is modern, clean and completely updated. Every amenity was provided. Matilda was extremely responsive/helpful both before and during our stay. Highly recommended this apartment. Although we only spend three nights there, would be a great choice for people looking for a longer term rental as well.

Luxurious apartment short walk from historic center

Great apartment slightly off the beaten path but within an easy walk of the historic city center. We appreciated the large living space to spread out and there were also lovely views from various rooms. Multiple levels, so stairs are a factor, but for most groups this shouldn’t be an issue. We enjoyed our stay.

Amazing 3 night stay

We (family of 5 adults) stayed 3 nights at Matilda’s property in the middle of our 12 night trip to France and Italy. It is exactly as the pictures show and even more charming in person. Stocked with everything you need, including a washer/dryer which was a welcome perk. We were exhausted after arriving by train from Nice and Matilda recommended a local restaurant Fuoco Matto, which was steps away and fantastic. Florence is beautiful and wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this property!

Beautiful place!

Beautiful property, but cannot recommend to families with small children or elderly. This apartment has many stairs and no baluster to keep you from falling off. Also did not have air conditioning as advertised, which was a bummer because it was really hot and stuffy on hot days. Showers were super tiny. Overall would still recommend to young couples or friends traveling together.

Matilda’s place was a masterpiece, every little detail, the house scents, the rugs, the furniture, the amenities , the books, the paintings, the chandelier, the coffee, the shampoo and body wash, mattresses and comforters, every single detail was a delight, the space is very classy and modern combined, spotless, elegant, and comfortable. Fantastic apartment

We loved our stay in this modern apartment. The location was perfect – we could easily walk to all the major sights, the train station was easy to reach, but since the apartment was just outside the city center, it was a less busy area. And the apartment was on the opposite side from the street, essentially eliminating any outside noise, with a beautiful view of the Tuscan hills.The apartment itself was very well-equipped and it felt like a home away from home. We really appreciated having all the essentials like towels and kitchen supplies on hand. And the laundry facilities, with a regular washer and dryer, were a great perk.Matilda was super helpful and very responsive throughout the whole process. She answered all of our questions and gave us some wonderful recommendations for local restaurants. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Florence. It made our trip so much more enjoyable. We can’t wait to visit again!

Wonderful home away from home

Florence retreat

Beautiful very well appointed three level apartment. Within walking distance to major attractions and restaurants. One bedroom is a very nice en suite. The other bedroom is very spacious and also nice but does not have a shower as a part of the en suite so have to go down two levels to shower. It is a very secure apartment in a nice area and has a lift which was great for our luggage.

Matilda was a great host. Communication was wonderful. The apartment is very clean, fresh and beautiful. Views from the windows are amazing and apartment was very quiet. Towels/Linens were plentiful and smelled great. The elevator was nice for getting luggage up and down. The neighborhood was safe. We walked everywhere we went everyday - even to the train station with all our luggage. We would definitely stay there again. I can’t say enough nice things about our experience.
