Great location in the main shopping street, Was a bit confused with what hotel I was staying in as I booked axial but it was maxim that we stayed in. Hotel staff were ok not over friendly, not much of a welcome at breakfast time.

Small but very handily placed Florence Hotel

Pros: North it's a minute to the Piazza del Duomo, and south about 5 minutes to the Piazza della Signoria and the Ponte Vecchio.
Cons: If you need to check out early, there's no-one on reception until 7.30am. No breakfast either, and no night porter overnight.
Location: Everything's nearby. Handy for the Duomo, the Uffizi, the Ponte Vecchio and the Boboli Gardens. Plenty of shops and restaurants within a few minutes.
Finding the hotel was easy, as it's only a hundred yards from the Duomo. The hotel is on the first floor, but does have a lift if you have heavy luggage. We had to leave early (6.45 am) on our last day but there's no hotel staff until 7.30 am. We asked one person on reception if you could at least get a cup of coffee before leaving the hotel at that time of morning and they said No, you'd have to go to a cafeteria. We later asked another person on reception and they said Yes, the coffee machine in the breakfast area was available and switched on all the time, though no food would be available. The second person proved to be correct. Other than that the experience was fine. The TV in the room had hundreds of (Italian) satellite channels - including a 24/7 tennis channel - and could also receive the BBC World Service channel in English.The room we had was next to a nice little courtyard area where you could sit and chat or read, and our room window opened onto the courtyard. The rooms are double-glazed and very quiet at night.

Vacation in Florence

Went to this hotel for 2 days, location very good, entrance not plaisant at all needs to be cleaned. TV not appropriate, air conditioning not functioning. Room was cleaned.

Very central charming hotel

This hotel is small and entirely on the first floor of an old apartment building. The staff are very pleasant and attentive, the breakfast is quite good and the hotel has a general charm to it with nice oil paintings, a lovely lounge and a small garden. Unfortunately, it is somewhat let down by the state of the communal entrance hall and the stairwell which is dingy and generally offputting. Also, the bedspread cover was stained and this and the blankets looked as if they needed a wash; pillows a bit lumpy. Overall, however, a nice hotel and good value for money and especially liked fridge in the room.

Excellent position, nice staff and clean room.

Excellent position, nice staff and clean room. WiFi worked fine too. Normally I would go for more stars than 3 to get a gym and a cooked breakfast. Of course these were not available here. However this was a really good 3 star hotel. The central position was key to us enjoying the week in this beautiful city.

great location, superb staff

Overall very pleased with the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly at all times, suggesting restaurants, amenities etc. The location was fantastic; right in the heart of the town. Couldn't be better. It could be a little noisy at times, but our room was facing the street, so was to be expected. Other rooms will have been fine. Excellent spot to be able to come and go during the day.

Kleines, gemütliches Hotel mittendrin, nicht viel Verkehr. Von unserem Zimmer aus sah mann auf den Domplatz. Wirklich top gelegen. Museen, Palazzi alles in nächster Nähe.
