Great Location
This apartment is in an excellent location. It is spacious and comfortable. It was very hot outside, but the air conditioning worked well. The washing machine worked well, and there were plenty of hangers to hang the clothes to dry. Inside the apartment was clean. We didn't realize that the apartment was on the top floor, with over 70 stairs to get to it, until after we arrived. When we were leaving there was a very nice man cleaning the stairs who helped us carry our bags down. There were a few accumulated dead bugs in the stairs, but it is an old building, and they obviously clean the stairs on a routine basis. We did not see any live bugs inside the building. The host is very responsive. The map on the listing is not accurate, and Google maps is wrong when you search for the address. It would have been helpful to know the apartment is about a half block further down the street before we arrived, and to have accurate expectations about the stairs. Knowing these 2 things in advance would have resulted in a 5 star rating. I felt like the place was a good value, with restaurants, shopping and Duomo very close. The convenience of the central location was excellent.
