Nice hotel, very good location. Staff are very helpful. No bathrobes in room unless you book delux and no conditioner. Also the plugs are two different sizes, thin or fat prong plugs.

The hotel is great! My nephew and I arrived early and luckily we were able to check in. The young lady who checked us in was very nice and polite. So was the young gentleman at the desk and the breakfast staff. However, the blond lady was extremely rude when my nephew came down the stairwell laughing loudly and running. When she approached us, I apologized for the incident. I then asked her about the laundry and she said I should bring down o the day after. I went back to my room to bring back my laundry and left my nephew at the reception. When I came back, he told me he was not allowed to answer his phone at the reception because she was checking some other guests in. I then asked her to be more clear because in my vast years of experience working at hotels, I never heard of a place where a paying guest was not allowed to answer his cell phone at the lobby. That was when she lost her cool / if she ever had one - and said we were being disruptive by staying at b the lobby and coming down the stairwell laughing and talking loud. I reminded her that I had already apologized for that and I was asking now was regarding guests not being allowed to answer their phone at the lobby. She started flipping at me and I just told her she was nuts and had ZERO experience in dealing with guests. I just left and went to enjoy the beginning of my vacation. Her attitude and lack of ability to speak fo guests did not ruin my vacation. Just want to alert other guests ti avoid interaction w/ her

Mosquitoes galore

The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. The overall conditions of the hotel were good, but our room left a lot to be desired. I personally killed more than 10 mosquitoes in the 2 nights we stayed there and even the electric plugs that were supposed to keep the mosquitoes away that the staff gave me did not help. I asked for a discount because of this but was told it had to come from or through Hotels.com instead of the hotel directly. Not sure where to go from here.

Excellent location! Staff very responsive and efficient. Room was very nice. Only issue was with the bathroom. It was clean, but being a 4 star hotel, the towels definitely need to be changed for new and better quality. Also we were a family of 3: they provided 3 towels: 3 for face 3 for hands and 3 for after shower, even though I requested an additional towel(1), they refused. Seriously… also the lighting in the bathroom needs to be better. We stayed for more than 6 nights, therefore it got to be a pain because all the lighting is on the ceiling! you can only see your face in shadows. It got to be very annoying, shaving and putting on makeup was a hassle. It’s the little things like this that can make your stay from a 5 star experience to a 4 star, but again, the room was very nice and clean, the cleaning staff is lovely and the location is unbeatable. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Florence.
