The Striklin Hotel. A BEAUTIFUL boutique hotel in downtown Florence, Alabama. If you’re ever in Florence, do yourself a favor and stay a night or two. The service was impeccable and the hotel has been beautifully renovated. The restaurant connected to the hotel is called Big Bad Breakfast and it did not disappoint. I had the avocado toast with egg and it was absolutely delicious.

We always stay at the Stricklin when we make a trip over to Florence. We love that we can walk to dinner, then come back to the hotel and hang out at the bar until bedtime, and then wake up and eat the BEST breakfast food ever at "Big Bad Breakfast". It is the PERFECT date night!

I have stayed here in the past and loved it. This trip was disappointing. The hotel itself is very nice and the staff are nice. But this room was very small and claustrophobic with no windows. On arrival the TV did not work. Staff came to look at it and could not fix it and promised to compensate me for the inconvenience.(They never did). The in room coffee maker did not work. I was told that there were new owners and they were having problems.

Not the fault of the hotel, but my room faced the street and the City decided to clean up from a parade the night before at 5 AM, with blowers, vacuum trucks, and trash trucks. A wedding party was having a reception too, that went rather late with loud music. The hotel itself was fine, although The Boiler Room restaurant was closed. for renovations.
