There is a lot to like about the Stricklin: clean, nice rooms, comfortable bed, easy to walk to restaurants/shops. The big negative for us was the noise. We had a room with a window, and the street noise was a lot (engines revving, loud bass music even overnight). Also, be aware the hotel shares a wall with a restaurant/bar/live music venue, so our final night we heard a show from our hotel room...when we preferred to be asleep. Maybe staying in one of the windowless rooms would be a different, less noisy experience.

This is a gorgeous property & exceptionally unique. Clean beyond words. Spacious. Nice view of the city. Very friendly staff. The only drawback is the street parking. (There is not a charge on the weekends, but finding a spot is the kicker). I will definitely return.

Great location and has all we needed for our stay

Second time staying at the Strickland. We have had a great stay both times. We love the location as close to live music venues, good restaurants, and other downtown venues and shopping.

Hotel was perfect!

I loved the hotel , perfect location!!! We saw all the special sights in Florence, we were able to walk to Norton Auditorium . Will absolutely stay at the Strickland again.

The hotel was in a great location. The problem is there is no designated parking. Also, the room was very noisy until around 2 in the morning, Because of the bar next door.

Very pleased! Bowling alley slightly noisy.

We loved the hotel. Our room was smaller but very cozy and the temperature was very easy to adjust. The bathroom was nice and the shower was large and clean although slightly difficult to figure out. The bed was one of the most comfortable that I have slept in. Our only complaint was the noise from the bowling alley in the basement. The sound of the ball hitting the lane was just loud enough to aggravate us as we fell asleep.

I expected alot more according to the rating.

The accommodations were appreciated, though some improvements could enhance the experience. A functioning television with a remote control would be a welcome addition. A longer hot water duration in the shower would also be greatly appreciated. These adjustments would elevate the overall comfort and satisfaction. Thank you for considering these suggestions for future guests.

The stay was overall good. However, even though I stayed for 5 nights, my room was never cleaned. I don't think there would be a need for it to be cleaned every day, but at least once every two days, so that the towels could be replaced and the soap/toilet paper/shamppoo could be refiled.
