Welcome to Mandan House! This classic 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Folly Beach home that sleeps up to 6 guests. It's an easy walk, bike ride, or drive, being only 1 block away from the closest public beach access. Perfectly placed on the west side of Folly Beach and only about 1/2 mile from Center Street where all of the shops, restaurants, & bars are located. Families with littles, there is even the gated "Wave Park" (playground) less than 2 blocks away.

Mandan House will welcome you with high ceilings and an open floor plan showcasing earthy colors of neutrality and pops of red. You will find the two guest bedrooms equipped with one queen bed in each room located on the right side of the home. The shared full bathroom is located in the middle of the two bedrooms for easy access. One of the bedrooms does have direct access to the bathroom. As you pass the chef's kitchen, you will enter the dining and relaxing living room area. Make your way to the screened in porch take reflect on the day's memories or pop into the reading nook to sit back and relax. The reading area is connected to the second guest bedroom but has the capability to be private with double doors.

Upstairs via the spiral staircase, you will find the primary bedroom with a king bed, ensuite bathroom and direct access to a sunroom, & the roof top deck where you will find glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean.

Absolutely NO house parties, youth groups, fraternities, sororities, bachelor/bachelorette parties, etc. allowed in the home. Property is in a residential neighborhood with a 24/7 noise ordinance enforced.

Public beach access is only a few minute walk away. Go into the Folly Beach downtown area, 0.5 miles, to wander through local shops, markets (seasonal & holidays), listen to live entertainment, and eat at one of our local restaurants. All restaurants and shops are open year-round. Get out on the water to take a fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, shelling, or dolphin watching tour from a licensed guide. Surfing lessons are available through several companies and instructors. Stroll down the Folly Beach Pier on Center Street, or find the local and tourist favorite Morris Island Lighthouse beach at the far east end of the island for wow-worthy Instagram shots!

Just a short, 20-minute drive will have you to historical, downtown Charleston to enjoy all of the charm that the Holy City has to offer. Here you will experience world-class dining, swanky boutiques, souvenir shopping along The Market, harbor views from The Battery and Waterfront Park, theater, comedy clubs, museums, grand churches, history, carriage and ghost tours, plus so much more. Customize your memorable trip to this historical city. Take the kids to the Children's Museum and the South Carolina Aquarium. Immerse yourself and the family in the Southern culture.

Parking for up to 4 vehicles is available at the home and is complimentary. Uber and Lyft are very scarce on the island, please plan your transportation accordingly. Check-in is 4:00pm and check out is 10:00am.

Mandan House has all modern amenities to make your vacation one of comfort and ease. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, keyless entry, contactless check-in, central heat and A/C, washer/dryer, outdoor shower/changing area, and high-end appliances. A starter supply of toiletries will be provided and up to the guest to replenish as needed. Home is non-smoking. No pets allowed. No events allowed that exceed the maximum occupancy of 6 people in the home, regardless of sleeping or visiting. Must be 25 years old or older to rent. This property is very clean and comfortable. I provides a lot of space for folks to gather or to find solitude. The multiple porch locations are really nice, and the short walk to the beach is exceptionally convenient.

Perfect Location and Great Vibes!

Location/neighborhood were super convenient and perfect for what we were looking for. Can go back and forth from beach/center of town easily. Only changes I would make is telling renters that there are a few chairs and there is a grill. That was not on the listing, and would actually benefit owner! The chairs/furniture are also not really comfy throughout the house, but the overall layout is great.

This property was wonderful! Spacious, grear view from rooftop. Comfy beds. Beautiful surroundings, close to beach. Only issue was during check in. The screen die was locked so we couldn't put in the code. Had to search around and found a lock box with keys to pen die. with keys

Fun with family

The property was perfect for our group of 2 seniors, 2 adults and 2 kids. The setup was so convenient with the upstairs bedroom, bathroom and sitting room that allowed the older adults a little bit of separation from the young kids when desired. The beach was just a short walk from the quiet dead end road that the house was located on. The property was clean and upkeep good. I would highly recommend the Mandan house.

The property was perfectly located a short walk to town and across from beautiful beach. House was spacious with great outdoor space. The owner took the time to write notes about house appliances etc…and the house book was very informative. We had a great time. We could have used a couple more blankets. It didn’t seem that the fireplace was working either or if it was we could not figure out how to use it. Honestly a great property

Great house and location!

We shared this house with some friends for a last beach trip of the year and we absolutely loved it! The kitchen was very spacious, beds and pillows were very comfortable, we really enjoyed all the different deck spaces especially the rooftop one, loved the sunroom when we needed some peace and quiet, and the spiral staircase was so fun! Also the location was fabulous! Just a quick walk to the beach made everything so easy and enjoyable. We would highly recommend this house😊

Great Vacation Choice!

We chose Mandan House for this year’s “ Sister Trip” and it was perfect! House was VERY clean and felt more like a home, than a rental. Great location to the beach and an ocean “peak” through the trees! The house was laid out well with lots of spots to relax, but I’ll say we spent a lot of coffee and cocktail time on the screened porch. Would highly recommend this particular property, and we book frequently through VRBO and depend upon recommendations in making our choices. You won’t be disappointed!

Great location view of ocean from rooftop

This house was wonderful! Great location a short walk (about 1 block) to the beach. Would highly recommend bringing a wagon to transport your beach gear. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware. I would add that despite being told there was no grill or beach chairs, there were both which was kind of disappointing b/c I bought beach chairs and a grill after being told we could rent the chairs but there was no grill. Would definitely stay here again.

Very near the beach with lovely view

Nice and very clean house. Loved the screened porch and top deck. Easy one block walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood and no traffic. But ... *The dryer vent was stuffed full of lint in the channel in which it is supposed to sit. Fire hazard? We were unable to clean it out. *Washer gasket was moldy and stinky. *Lots of kitchen equipment, but no "supplies" at all (no plastic wrap or bags, sugar and so on, only one tiny little piece of aluminum foil) *Insufficient number of trash bags and rolls of toilet paper. *We couldn't figure out how to keep from freezing at night no matter how we set the thermostat. We followed the directions but the temp we set was continually overridden. *No beach towels - not a single one. Traveling from very far away and with limited luggage space precludes packing a thick beach towel and we did not want to use the big white fluffy bath towels so we had nothing at all. *House is pretty and bright, furnishings are older and worn. *Spiral staircases were a bit challenging for us oldies. *Ten o'clock checkout is very early. Even eleven would help. Most planes (not all) going west leave in the late afternoon rendering one with nowhere to be for many many hours. Ten seems unnecessarily early.

Nice getaway!

Overall the property was great! Very close to everything, very clean, very private. Only disappointment was no bar-b-que grill. Also wished the elevator was available for our used as we would have used the roof site more often.

Perfect

Perfect location, very short walk to beach, quiet street. Surrounded by beautiful trees. We cooked fresh fish every night, kitchen very well equipped with every need. Loved screened in porch, dined every night on screened-in porch listening to the sound of the ocean. 6 blocks to Center Street. Had a wonderful week hope to return next fall.
