Fonteno (613m), a typical mountain village, reachable through Val Cavallina, is situated on a sort of natural balcony overlooking Lake Iseo and Val Camonica, a place where nature reigns supreme and landscapes form an enchanting frame. On the hills surrounding Fonteno, there are numerous farmhouses where you can buy cheese and other dairy products. Not to be missed is the large green and blue bench in Fonteno overlooking Lake Iseo, which offers a splendid view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. A few kilometers away is the small medieval village of Riva di Solto, with its ancient palaces, century-old gardens, and the evocative Lakefront, with its Bogn Gorge, a breathtaking inlet that represents one of the most attractive natural surprises of Lake Iseo, with steep rocks and crystal-clear waters bathing a small rocky beach. From Riva di Solto, you can take a ferry to visit Monte Isola, a mountain in the middle of Lake Iseo declared one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
