Outstanding stay at the Rock House at High Frontier in Fort Davis. The setting is exceptional, with sweeping mountain and canyon views, incredible stargazing, and a peaceful, secluded feel.The home is comfortable and well-designed, with a rustic interior, cozy fireplace, and large windows that bring the desert landscape inside. It is perfectly located to explore McDonald Observatory, Marfa, and Big Bend National Park.Maggie, the property manager, was excellent. Weekend in West Texas for the Observatory

What a great property, great views, and very comfortable. My family and another family of four stayed for the weekend to enjoy Fort Davis and the MacDonald observatory. Highly recommend staying here. Beautiful stars at night very quiet and wonderful fresh air.

Great cabin!

Loved this place, wish we could have stayed more than one night. 3 bedrooms were the perfect number for the 4 of us. The balcony was so wonderful, I could have spent hours there. The cabin is off the beaten path, but that made it more peaceful. Thank you, Maggie.

The views and cabin exceeded our expectations. Truly one of the most gorgeous spots Texas had to offer. We had a small maintenance issue and the host’s team could not have been kinder or quicker to respond. We hope to return!

Rock House Cabin

Rock House Cabin was Great! 5-Stars for sure.Only thing that could make it better, would be to put up a game feeder out in the pasture. We watched 14-Elk the next canyon over to the south-west, Mule deer and 2-Aoudad Rams, would be nice to watch wildlife closer on the 20-acres! Look forward to next stay!
