Not first time here but this time the pool was open and renovations were complete. Room was clean with great views of the canal from my balcony. Staff was courteous and helpful. Only complaints were that the fitness center is too small and lacks any weightlifting machines (it only has dumbbells), and that my suite was above the pool area which blasts music too early in the morning.

yes, the room was not clean, everyday the cleaning service was realized late i the afternoon or after getting back to the room late afternoon and having to request. Room was very dated, stains on sofa and other furniture.

We love this property, we come here every year or two. Great views in the intercostal balcony room. Accommodating staff. At a water taxi stop. They need to fix their hot tub though

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The balcony was a great amenity. Unless you read the fine print about the room, you will be surprised to find that valet parking is $56 a night! A tequila sunrise at the pool bar was $26.25. At the pool, daily, every afternoon for 2 hours, on the other side of the hotel's property wall, the Ft Lauderdale Fire Department tests its sirens. Too many surprises to recommend this Doubletree despite its ideal location.
